This is a really solid signing for free. Botman is out until Jan/Feb so Tosin will be a starter next to Schar I think. Tosin has been underrated for years, great on the ball with his ability to break lines with passes/carrying. And he's also really athletic and yet to hit his prime, big coup for Newcastle

I'm all for replacing Longstaff this summer, I'd rather have Miley as the backup to Tonali. Gallagher has improved this season, but I'm personally not a fan. I think we are too sloppy on the ball and need more technical players, Gallagher is anything but technical. No doubt that he'd fit our style of play, but if everyone is fit then I think we got four better CM's than Gallagher ( J7, Tonali, Willock & Bruno)

Schär is our most underrated player, one of the best CB's in the league. Replacing him with a better one is near Impossible for us this summer. ST is also a priority because Callum Wilson can't be trusted with the availability, we need someone to share minutes with Isak

Love Eddie Howe. He's extremely humble and never once used all the injuries as a excuse. We have constantly throughout the season been without 6-7 starting players and yet we are still up there giving every team in the league a tough challenge. Glad we dont have Ten hag who's a unlikeable bitter man

Schar deserves more respect. I don't know why he keeps getting overlooked. Pundits here in Sweden have been saying for the past 3 years that he needs to be upgraded on. Fans of other clubs don't seem to rate him as hes never in the best combined 11s i see. Media in England hardly talks about him/interview him. I can't think of a U25 defender in the world who can replicate what Schär does for us

Apart from Arma I'd happily take the out on loan defender Armel Bella-Kotchap. Hos stocks are quite low right now due to the relegation last season, but his ceiling is sky-high. He reminds me of Rudiger with the speed, physicality and ability to pass with both L&R foot. Also liked what I have seen from two guys who's on loan at Soton, Flynn Downes & Harwood-Bellis. These two are PL level players but got loaned out because West ham got alot of Midfielders, and City got too many Cbs

Hey man, nice to see you again! Archer has been showing glimpses of quality in a very poor SHU side. But if we are looking for a 3rd choice then I'd personally want that guy to be more versatile. Brereton-Diaz from the same team or someone like one of our own Adam Armstrong would be better for the squad imo. Huge fan of Callum Wilson, but I think it's good for all parties if this is his last season with us. He doesn't want to play 2nd fiddle, and we need someone who's more reliable fitness wise, I'd take £10m and sign a 40-50mil younger replacement In a ideal world with different FFP rules then Jarrow Bowen would be perfect for us, But that wouldn't be a realistic signing unless West ham went down. He's happy at West ham and will probably stay there till he's in his mid 30s. Someone with a similar profile i could see us go for is Bryan Mbeumo

If what I have read is true, Villa don't want him back. He's not been great goals wise this season, but you can't really blame a ST for not scoring too much in a team like Sheffield this season. Thoughts? Also, I know it won't be possible, but Bowen would be a class signing for us. I've never really thought about him before because of the cost. A man can dream.

Our Head scout went to France and brought like 5 frenchmen or something back with him to Newcastle. That's when the nickname " Frenchcastle" was born. But there was also constant riots and protest at that time as we didn't like the owner or manager. Selling Demba Ba for £7m didn't help either..

Tbh. I feel like we have such a weird GK situation. Pope is our best keeper yes, but then you look past that. Dubs has impressed, and shown why we got him way back, but if like, 'he wants to move' is true, then that's an issue. Karius seems to be out the door. Gill I'm not even sure we're gonna give him a chance lol. We could wind up losing two of our keepers, three if we get rid of Gill too. Which would prob mean we would HAVE to get another keeper at least. Which is why I'd be tempted to promote a young keeper for future reasons.

I just saw reports today of Lloyd Kelly agreeing a deal to join Newcastle on free this summer. That is good signing for you, would be solid rotation option for both Botman & Schar also can play at left back as well.

Ramsdale won't join us as long as we got Pope, that's for sure. Yes Ramsdale is more well-rounded as a keeper compared to Pope, but like you said, there's cheaper alternatives. If we are going to sign a GK it should be a transformative Alisson/Ederson type like D.Costa, or a cheaper one who's happy to be 2nd choice initially but with a view to take over from Pope after a 1-2 seasons. There's a keeper named Valles From Las Palmas,26y and he's excellent on the ball, he commands his area and he's a superb sweeper (even better than Pope at that). Best thing of all is that he won't cost much with a expiring contract. I know that the club have scouted other La liga goalkeepers like Jørgensen/Mamardsvili, but Valles is the guy imo as he's the complete package
