😬. Let's see if city or arsenal make a move for him
avatar
He'd probably do a better job than Longstaff in that role. But it's not ideal to have Gallagher in that RCM position in Howe's system as we play with a double pivot until we reach opponents half
avatar
Bowen is never getting an England goal ffs

https://x.com/ChampionsLeague/status/1797632328891502748?t=kmyDM8fFKoxdyzIIMFsYnw&s=19 We don't see this kind of atmosphere elsewhere, certainly not in European competitions. Crowd went mental for every tackle, for every throw in won etc. We don't have megaphones, drums/clappers/ultras, this is real authentic atmosphere. Just wish we could see it a bit more often. Atmosphere was mostly flat last season for the Saturday 3pm Kickoffs
avatar
Personally think we can get a better deal for Mama. Valencia are skint and need to sell players. But with players like Chevalier/Valles available for less I don't think it's worth spending that huge fee for Mama. I'd be glad if we get a Dubravka upgrade, someone who can push Pope and then maybe take the #1 Jersey next year. But hey, if the budget is 150m+ then I won't complain if we spend £35m-40m on Mamardsvili 😄
avatar
Empire Strikes Back no doubt is the best Star Wars movie in my opinion
avatar
Absolutely mate. I was watching this guy 10 years ago now and thinking "shit, this guy can really dribble" Seems to be remarkably good at that for such a tall player. Always took interest in him in FIFA 15 and 16 career mode too
avatar
If you're gonna troll, at least do it properly New generation of trolls on sofifa is so disappointing
avatar
1. Bilbao only sign players who are Basque 2. He's joining Villa, no? Common sense, mate
avatar
Well fuck me then I guess.
avatar
I’ve never been so unimpressed by a managerial appointment ever. First of all why are we replacing Pochetino with a coach from the championship and two why have we done a 5 year contract?! If he stays for more than 2 seasons I will sell my house
avatar
https://x.com/partidazocope/status/1797607075289419986?t=1KjZAhPwveSVfL_rlwocVA&s=19 Offered €41m for Mamardashvili apparently, seems a bit steep for a keeper imo. If we do sign Mama then I can see Pope look for a new club as he's too good to not start every week
avatar
Sadly that's how things work these days. Agents fabricating stories in order to get their clients better deals. And we are a easy target due to how wealthy our owners are
avatar
No way Crystal Palace are making good signings !!
avatar
I haven't seen us get linked with Valles which is weird. But Yes, it's obvious that Chelsea are looking for a GK, and these two are not only available, they are young. I hope we don't go for Trafford/Ramsdale just because they are English, if we want value for money there's better alternatives elsewhere
avatar
imagine. He'd be so good for us
avatar
Al Ittihad probably , City apparently made contacts for Diogo Costa already

WTF

Fair !!
avatar
Not much. He's gone under the radar, but once a club gets involved I can see a bit of a frenzy for him. He basically said he's very happy here and he's fine with staying, but suggested he's definitely open for a move if a big club gets involved, and Fulham get an offer we're happy with. Basically he'd consider it but if no offers come through he'll have no complaints.
avatar
That sucks. If we are looking for a la liga keeper then Valles makes sense, cheap, likely to accept backup role first season, great on the ball & great sweeper. Valles ticks all the boxes. If Valles go there then they are really making clever early signings that I wanted us to do
avatar
If we go for Huijsen he'll most likely not get much gametime. He's like 4th choice for Roma currently, and it's harder to defend in this league with the speed & physicality of the games. Personally think we need someone who's ready to come in and start next to Schär. So I really hope that we go for someone like Diomande/Scalvini/Todibo. Young CB's for the future, but good enough now to perform at a elite level
avatar
Guess I’ll just keep on crying
avatar
Dortmund are so unlucky
avatar
Exactly, Tosin isn't a good T.Silva replacement if Chelsea want to get back to the UCL. At Man utd he'd probably be 3rd choice behind Martinez & a new starter. He's from Manchester too so I really thought you had a chance. Newcastle will be without Lascelles & Botman till February 2025 probably because of serious knee injuries, and we did already need a CB brought in before these two got injured. So this is a big blow for Newcastle who probably will have to spend big money on a CB now which means we might not have the funds to buy players for other positions. But yes, Kelly and then a quality CB is a must now for us. Man utd will probably also have to spend alot of money on two CB's
avatar
Chalobah is so clear smh
avatar
I'm sure another CB will join Chelsea later in the window to replace T.Silva. Tosin is likely seen by Boehly as a cheap Chalobah replacement. I'd be hugely surprised if Tosin started first game of the season
avatar
An example of why patience is needed while we're building. Wage bill is the single biggest indicator of success, Chelsea can pay their squad players what our first teamers are making. That's the gap that has to be bridged, very difficult.
avatar
Disappointing to miss out on Tosin, but it was predictable imo. Once we see The likes of Fabrizio Romano report on our targets every day then you know something is wrong, because our owners hate a bidding war and want these things to go under the radar. Tosins agent has obviously been paying Romano to generate interest in the agent's client go get Tosin a better contract, but especially higher agent fees
avatar
Yes, Colwill, Disasi, Badiashile, Fofana, Chalobah, Gilchrist, Humpfreys etc. Chelsea got more than enough, if anything, they need a top CB brought in because for me the names above are all in the same bracket. Newcastle offered 100k/week apparently with Chelsea offering 160k/week. That's simply too much money for a player like Tosin. He and his agent probably just used Man utd & Newcastle to secure a better deal for themselves. Its football these days sadly, agents have far too much power, it doesn't help when they use Fabrizio Romano either, he's been exposed as a PR machine. Ilya Zabarny the Bournemouth CB exposed Romano
avatar
Milos first name, Kerkez last name. Hungarians switch their surname and first name, thats why you might see Kerkez Milos
avatar
You've misread everything. He was naming all the previous big name managers at the club and the fact they've gone for an unknown name this time. None of those names mentioned were ever rumoured for the position for time around
avatar
Doncic💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻
avatar
Getting rid of 80% of deadwood Guimaraes Longstaff Almiron And replacing them with Ederson (Atalanta) Mbuemo/Neto With L. Kelly and Tosin on frees and Trafford as backup. How would you rate that window? I think you upgrade in attack and bolstered defensive depth. With Tonali back and hopefully a less injury ravaged season you should be looking to content for Europe again.
avatar
Mark Gill becoming our Scott Carson haha. Not too bothered by it, since before all this, the thought of too many keepers leaving, good to know we last got two at the moments in Pope and Gill. As still unsure on what'll happen with Dubs.
avatar
I reckon we could get 2-3 m for Fraser if Southampton want him. But regarding Hayden I agree that we'll have to reach a settlement and pay him off. Lewis 3-4 m Fraser 2-3 m Ashby 2-3 m Hayden release
avatar
Peru will NOT end above last place We're extremely shit
avatar
And Spurs 😭 He thinks we can’t see him
avatar
Dummett should have imo been sold 6-7 years ago as he couldn't play 3 games In a row due to his bad hamstrings, and I didn't really rate him as a LB. But he's a good lad who loves the club, can't blame him for wanting to stay. Matt Ritchie is a cult hero, just a shame that the last three seasons tarnished his reputation, he was genuinely one of our best players under Rafa, he was a great leader too. I will always love him for calling Steve Bruce a coward, few players got tye balls to do it. Jeff Hendrick, good Riddance, 50k/week for one of the worst players I have ever seen in a Newcastle shirt, I don't even know how he played so many games for Ireland, stealing a living. Wish Karius & Kell Watts well for their future, Karius deserves to start for a Seria a midtable/bottom half team, he's a good keeper who's worked on his mental side. Now lets hope the club can be ruthless and terminate contract/Sell Jamal Lewis, Isaac Hayden, Ryan Fraser & potentially Ashby too
avatar
Ayyyeee. Good stuff. I do kind laugh at the post giving props to Hendrick, but it was nice at least lol. But right choice to move Dummett, and Ritchie on.((We prob knew Karius was going tbh)) In general it's a bit of a shame, but it had to be done. They had to be moved on, and should've never even been considered to be kept on. I'll wish them well. Dummett could've been a solid PL player, but couldn't even get fit. If Wilson was made of glass, then I'm not sure what Dummett is made of honestly. But he's been with us for many, many years, and while he's past being in the PL. Best of luck to him. As for Ritchie, well. Leas the corner flags will be fine now lol. But man, I have nothing but respect for him. He came to us, when he could've stayed in the PL. He helped us back up, and honestly, was even still solid up to a point back then. While it was clear, the club have really advanced forward, and he's aged, so that it was time to move on, but nothing but respect for him.
avatar
Ugarte on a loan-to-buy would be peak
avatar
These new owners have severely lowered our standards. Boehly get out of my club
avatar
I think if the fee for Trafford is low enough, we'll take him and keep Pope as first choice. I think it's a risk as he already didn't like diving to his left and now that he hurt that shoulder a 2nd time it could get worse. Trafford had an awful season but is very young. Has a chance of fucking another season but can we even afford Mamardashvili and then go big on a RW?
avatar
Goalkeeper situation is a bit complex this summer for sure. Pope has just come back from a 2nd bit shoulder injury which isn't ideal for a Goalkeeper especially. I don't believe we'll buy Both Trafford & Mamardashvili, both are young, and will cost 50-60mil combined which isn't a good idea as you said. With no Europe there's no possibility to rotate in that position as I believe we'll play strongest 11 available for the League, and both domestic cups. So for me there's two likely scenarios: 1. - Keep Pope + sign Trafford (20m) as backup, (good mix with a older and younger keeper) 2. - Buy Mamardsvili (~35m), and then loan/sign a No.2 because Pope won't stay as backup at this stage in his career, and "Mama" wont join us if he's not a instant starter. That backup GK could maybe be someone like Robert Sanchez/Kepa/Johnstone/Steele. Solid stop-gap solutions imo As for Longstaff, I believe there will be interest in him from Bottom half PL clubs. He's for me 7th choice in midfield so hoping we cash in
avatar
Yeah, which is quite scary, but the hope is that we approached first, and seemingly have already made an offer. While Chelsea and Man U haven't sent anything as of yet. So lets hope he'll pick us.
avatar
Guau, siempre es un placer hablar y interactuar con vos querido adam, at least you guys have a solid base in the team, this season with that amount of injuries is tough, that tonali suspension was shocking i cant believe some kind of people be so stupid, like say before i wish the best of luck this season my father is big fan yours, so most likely always see newcastle matches but he dosent know the problem of injuries, thanks again, take care adam good night.
avatar
It's never not been toxic for me tbh. Like sure, there is a few good eggs in there. But a lot are very reactionary, and unless they get what they want, they throw a hissy fit. Reminds me of the dark days, where we'd lose a game, and then suddenly it was the end of the world like lmao.
avatar
Tripps is one of our sellable assets for sure, we could get 8mil easily imo. But you mentioned Tripps leadership abilities, he's almost like a playing coach. Having Trippier would also increase competition for that RB spot, I don't think Ashby/Krafth are good enough to play RB for a prolonged period if something was to happen to Tino, so I'd keep Trippier this summer I also think the system was made for Tripper, we see him normally shine when he's got Miggy infront of him. This graph shows Trippier"s creativity https://s3a.sofifa.net/35430d3432e8a477209a4d2689d39bd0506f5e37.jpg
avatar
Normally I'd say no, and while I'm sure he'll pick himself back up. But his previous few matches. While not complete bad, but it's worth thinking about, given his age. Yes, he's a solid hand, and a big name in the squad. But if it was £8mill, and got a big wage off the books. With Tino there, Krafth as back up. It might be an ideal thing to do.
avatar
Newcastle twitter is a bit toxic right now, anyone else feel the same? You are either overly optimistic, or overly pessimistic
avatar
The more I think about our season, the more I feel sad honestly. If we'd held on vs Liverpool, City, West Ham. We'd be comfy in 6th place damn.
avatar
This is why we need a sporting director in place who's got power to block DCL type of deals. £20m+ for a injury prone striker who's extremely limited. I'd not even be happy with this type of deal during Bruce/Ashley days. Fully agree that missing out in Europe is a big setback, I can't see positives without Europe. People say that we'll only have one game a week and have a fresher team, I disagree. Our reserves/youngsters could easily get us out from a UECL group whilst the main 15 players would rest for a week just play Sunday games. It's a bit worrying to see how much Eddie rates Longstaff, hope he doesn't block a move because there will naturally be interest in a homegrown PL experienced 26 y/o entering his last year of contract
avatar
Chelsea will get top four next season if he stays healthy.
avatar
Wanted Leeds up tbh. Close away trip for our fans, big historical team with a big global fanbase. The atmosphere at Elland Road is also arguably the best in the country. Ours is good too, but feel it could be a bit louder against weaker teams. Soton is a team that belongs in the PL though, but feel for our fans making that long trip next season
avatar
Buenas noches. The main reason for Newcastle's " dip " in form this season is injuries as shown here: https://s3a.sofifa.net/611b6801f2c76e87e64a7fe51173e6b64d27b991.jpg. Tonali's suspension did not help too. We will most likely sign two CB"s who are free agents (Lloyd Kelly & Tosin) because Botman & Lascelles got ACL knee injuries and will be back in 2025. We have also been linked with Mamardashvili the GK. Here's a shortlist of realistic transfers I made back in February: I also explain what Newcastle need here https://sofifa.com/shortlist/265300
avatar
115 charges or not. Man City knows how to negotiate properly. Its crazy how good deals they are able to get. I haven't read anywhere that Soton are obliged to pay up for Fraser, player will likely head back to us... I still expect Ryan to join them, but it should have been a obligation to buy
avatar
Ours was prob £2mill and a packet of crisps lmao. But I'm sure we will, but the trouble comes is dealing with what we have compared to what they have. Southampton seemingly of recent, have developed a liking for City's young players. Which isn't surprising, given honestly. It's why I'm so hype around Harrison, if he turns out to be a wonderkid, that'll be massive for us. If we continue investing in right areas of the youth, I'm sure we could pull off these deals. Not that these younger players are head and shoulders above likes of Fraser, Lewis, Hendrick etc. But you'd rather put your money on them, than the crop we have in that area.
