Our great run of form in the last few weeks came when Fab has been back in midfield and Thiago took the RCM spot. Playing there he has been the best player in the prem and TAA has been on fire since they played together. I dont think that Klopp bought Thiago to make that midfield. Thiago is our best midfielder, he will never be benched bro. Hendo leadership is important but as shown in the last few weeks we can win and play good without him and with VVD back he wont need as much leadership. We play agaisnt park the bus almost everytime, and even when having a ghost in midfield we are still able to cope with counter attacks. That should not be an issue. Also apart from the Burnley game, Robbo hasnt been playing as high as before.

What do you think of the potential Fab Thiago Hendo midfield ? Personally Im not a fan. I feel like the profiles in midfield are not different enough. Fab and Thiago are top 3 in the world in their positions and their duo is the reason top 4 is in our hands right now. Thiago has to play as RCM as his connection with Salah and TAA is our strongest asset, they like to play in thigh spaces and developed a very nice parternship. While our left side is more direct with Robbo and Mané so requires a player like Keita (but not Keita). Hendo would be a bit of a mix between Fab and Thiago which wouldn’t make any sense as the other two can do better than him. I feel like he could be the perfect sub to bring in to keep possession and keep a lead in a game with his skills and leadership. The LCM should go to a more offensive player in transition to compliment Mané and Robbo. Or a 4231 of course which would be perfect.

I hope Koeman is not out coach next season. I know it may sound harsh, but here’s the thing: Although he’s done a nice job taking us out of the gutter and promoting some youngsters this season, he’s shown some signs that he isn’t the right coach to take the climb himself started further. He’s shown that even though he played youngsters, when the sorta washed veterans are healthy they’ll be starters. He’s shown that he’s not ready to drop personal issues to favor a Masia player. He’s shown he’s not one to turn good players into great ones. He’s a good coach all in all, but what Barça need to carry what Koeman started on is a great coach. I don’t know if Xavi would come firing on all cylinders as coach, maybe to much of a gamble right now, although I’d love to see him coaching the team while Messi still plays.
