Nah they’ve got Chalobah and Badiashile, and nursing home Thiago Silva. They’ll probably only ship 50 goals next season instead of 63. It’s a process, man stop being so short sighted. Gabriel and Saliba would be too much too soon, they might actually win with them.
avatar
You’re taking the piss if you wouldn’t take Gabriel & Saliba too?
avatar
Cole Palmer would love nothing more than to be an Arsenal player. Chelsea’s a stepping stone club. 🤪
avatar
Chelsea have £1 billion pounds circus loads of clowns are employed in Chelsea Sorry but ode and white are professional footballers don't think they want to be part of the biggest clown show. Called Chelsea..
avatar
Players on a free or even on a loan should absolutely be considered. We've essentially sacrificed Ramsdale's growth and career here for Raya so if the club is so convinced in our number 1, we should be prioritising other positions this summer and save as much money when purchasing a new backup.
avatar
You're undermining the fact that Ramsdale isn't some finished GK over the age of 33 who is looking to be nothing more than a backup, one that would enjoy a cup run if the team manages to go far, but wouldn't mind if he ends up playing less than 8 games the whole season. No, we're speaking of a 26yo that has hopes to be England's number 1 eventually and will want to leave. We can sell him for more than what we paid for him (Arsenal should be looking for 40 mil euros if not more) and we can get someone that's miles better than Turner but costs maybe at most 20 mil.
avatar
Ramsdale is a known entity. First and foremost, you have a backup keeper incase your main keeper gets injured - the cup game minutes are simply gap fillers to keep their touch up. If we sell Ramsdale and replace him with an inferior keeper, and Raya gets injured, then what? Not worth saving a couple quid on in my view
avatar
Ramsdale would be considered a high-quality backup and it would make sense to have him if we played him in CL and found a healthy rotation between him and Raya, if this is even achievable. But he isn't going to play in CL, we've been incredibly poor in the domestic cups for 4 seasons in a row (which means the backup GK doesn't get almost any games) and rn we can sell him for good money. As an asset, it's probably better if we sell him, rather than use him. We could and should get a decent backup that would be right in the middle of Ramsdale (high-quality backup) and the Turners/Runarssons (just shite).
avatar
I understand what you're saying, but I'd rather see us improve the squad depth, not weaken it. We've had some ordinary back up GK's over the journey - I'm content having a quality back up in Ramsdale at the ready if ever needed, rather than say a Turner
avatar
I'd imagine you can get away with worse quality on the bench IF you're sure in your number 1 choice. Ramsdale can be a great sell money-wise this summer, we probably need to do it. It would be a surprise if it's not Raya once again in both CL and the league so that leaves Ramsdale with just mins in the domestic cups, surely it's not enough and his value will only lower if he doesn't play.
avatar
Is it confirmed that Ramsdale is leaving? I know he's out of favour as 1st choice, but i'd happily keep him in the squad - seems like a good squad lad to have around. Not to mention he's a bloody good keeper on his day
avatar
Hope those rumours about Lunin are false. We do need a solid backup or potentially someone to challenge Raya but we cannot be spending a lot of money and time on the GK position. You go out there and get someone decent, you hope Raya plays a lot of games next season (and performs well) and if the new 2nd choice option is bad, you reevaluate the GK spot next summer. As for Sesko and the Chido Obi news, they're incredibly disappointing but we move. I imagine we'll start to hear more and more of Zirkrzee's name linked to us. Not a fan of that.

Even McGinn looks confused 💀

Just bought tickets for the Arsenal v Liverpool preseason friendly in Philly. Going to be my daughter's first Arsenal game!!!
avatar
Sesko would’ve been nice but I said a couple months ago his best career option was to stay at Leipzig for another season. He gets good minutes there and is still probably too raw to be anything other than a transition threat in the PL next season. That said, there are dozens of players we are likely interested in. Curious to see which ones end up being the priority. I’m fairly certain there’s a priority out there that no one has a clue about.
avatar
Just watching him play, he looks extremely clumsy. If we're gonna spend 100M it should be on an Isak that has proven his fitness.
avatar
This is going to be a very slow window, contrary to the last. I don't see us signing anyone before the Euros other than Raya. Things will escalate in mid July probably.
avatar
Would love it, though I also wouldn’t say no to a cheeky low ball offer for a veteran forward like a Morata.
avatar
Neves + player that can Play anywhere upfront and we good in attack.
avatar
Now that Sesko is a no go I hope our marquee signing is for the midfield, Martinelli not firing, Jesus not firing and we still bag 91 goals. Just bring a Joao Neves or a Bruno G and bully teams around for 90 minutes.
avatar
True, but wouldn’t mind doing a tourney with Ingerland with their actual squad.
avatar
It’s EA. I would presume they won’t release anything till EAFC25
avatar
Does anyone know if they’re planning on updating the Euro squads on FC24 to reflect the real squads?
avatar
Gyokeres, Osimhen or Isak. Gonna cost at least 100 mill however and that means we’ll probably get a cheaper midfielder.
avatar
Gyokeres, Osimhen, that's it. But none of them excites me with that price tag. Worrying scenario
avatar
Now that Sesko is a no go, who is everyone's preferred ST options if we sign one?
avatar
What a shame. Sesko was the perfect option for striker. Now we'll probably sign a winger instead. Can't see other realistic and viable strikers on the market ...
avatar
I mean we're just gonna go ahead and sign someone who's committed to the cause. Not interested in guys who don't want to play for us.
avatar
Rejected Arsenal, not Spurs.
avatar
Really don't want Gyokeres. Guy look so clumsy. Screams Darwin Nunez to me.
avatar
Him or Gyokeres
avatar
Sesko staying at Leipzig lol. Guess that means we make a move for Osimhen?
avatar
Southgate is ruining the best generation Englands has had in a long time. I reckon it’ll be Germany, nothing against them outside of football, but since we’re talking football, fuck Germany 🇳🇱 🇳🇱 🇳🇱
avatar
Your team is easily the best on paper and should be favorites but you won't win because of your manager. Southgate is atrocious, not to mention your national team acts very spursy in the most crucial moments. I think either France or Germany will win it
avatar
And just to clarify, it’s coming home 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿
avatar
nah under roy they looked absolutely crap towards the end, he shouldn't have been kept on last year, shouldve thanked him for stabilising the ship and moved on. Luckily now after some fan pressure, they got in a top manager who gets the best out of their best players (who are class btw, Olise, Eze, Guehi, and Wharton will play in the CL one day) and now theyre flying.
avatar
he shot himself in the foot leaving branthwaite at home I’m honestly so unconvinced by this version of Kyle Walker though
avatar
Walker >>>>> TAA at RB with how Southgate will have us playing. Especially with how sketchy our defence is likely to be without the settled 2 of stones and slabhead. I think we’ll need that pace
avatar
He’s the best passer in the squad. Rice and Gallagher won’t control a game. And you can’t expect Mainoo or Wharton to come straight into that midfield in the tournament right from the off. To be honest I think rice, TAA with Jude in the hole is the best midfield he can put out
avatar
Idk man I saw a tonnnn of rivals come to his defense after the whole Iceland debacle
avatar
what's very crazy is that these are all genuinely realistic lol. Let me add one more... kap gets online here and starts telling us how Arsenal players aren't cut out for the big stage lol
avatar
A lot of it comes down to an inability to analyze the game at even a basic level. Everyone has these misguided base ideas of what a player in a certain position is supposed to do to be considered world class. If you can’t pass like Rodri or Busquets you’re not a world class 6 apparently. If your dribbling isn’t aesthetically appealing you’re not a world class winger apparently.
avatar
A lot of football discourse has come down to whether a player can or can’t do something (and then slating them when they can’t) rather than appreciating their strengths. Rice is the best defensive shield in the world, who cares if he can’t break down a low block like Iniesta? Mainoo is an incredible, young, all round 8, who cares if he can’t defend space like Prime Casemiro? Praise them for what they can do, rather than bring them down for what they can’t.
avatar
Chelsea bigger fanbase? We have 4x the users on this site than them, in London arsenal has more fans than chelsea tottenham combined, most of chelsea fans live in Nigeria.
avatar
Yes Yes No Yes Yes If it’s that kind of fee absolutely not. As fantastic as he’s been, Championship and Portuguese league doesn’t justify a silly fee on a 26 year old
avatar
Opposite question to the one below. What are some teams you really like? (Not arsenal) I’ve always loved Barca and I used to watch almost every game when they had Messi. Real Madrid, Crystal Palace, inter, Liverpool, Monaco (not as much now), Ajax are some of the teams I also like but not as much as arsenal or Barca
avatar
Gotta be Ryo Miyaichi
avatar
Cus We’re by faaar the best team the world has ever seen!

Good player will never get his flowers because he plays for west ham, same like declan rice, people were calling Harry maguire of cdm, when bowen moves to a bigger club he'll get the respect he deserves
avatar
The only right answer is Eze imo
avatar
We should've signed that guy when he was at Blackburn, his pricetag would have been about £30 million less
avatar
which crystal palace player would u guys take? I think id actually go for Wharton.
