Funny how our main problem was squad depth before the January window, yet we are selling our deadwoods but didn't replace them. Now our squad is stretched way too thin more than what we had before the transfer. Seems like Levy invest very minimal in Conte's windows while being very generous in Nuno's window. Conte being frustrated and mad is quite justified because Levy doesn't have the ambition and vision to win a trophy or even try. I'm not trying to blame Levy entirely he spent a lot on players but at the wrong manager. It just is a damn shame we have one of the best managers, but the lack of support is just quite frustrating. At this point wouldn't be so surprising if Conte walks.

Every time I get my hopes up we get all spursy
avatar
I don’t believe in the Hojbjerg slander Emerson has been below average since he has come here Winks has been shite since 2019 but tbf he has been good under conte
avatar
I agree with PEH not so much with Emerson he plays without passion and pride, just like Aurier but worse
avatar
At least one thing is for sure, he'll never surpass Lewandowski if he continues like this
avatar
Yeah and not only that, in some games he looks like he's sick of Dortmund and their inconsistency and he doesn't play like he used to when he just arrived. It's like he's already thinking about his next club
avatar
Dude without Verratti PSG is not PSG. Verratti is everything. Its so easy to see.
avatar
Maybe. It can definitely be a lot better than it has been so far. But lets see, now we have a chance to prove ourselves with most of the squad fit and Neymar coming back soon too.
avatar
No way Josh Sargent has more league goals than Sancho already
avatar
Looks like a NFL player
avatar
could've made it in europe if not for the injuries
avatar
BS downgrade when he's been hurt.
avatar
What are they doing to his position................. He's a CM
avatar
Go to bayern instead please
avatar
Just a 4th choice right back now, behind Alves, Mingueza, and Xavi even prefer Araujo there over him. Time to leave
avatar
aguero's regen, W move for city
avatar
We should sign dembele. He and Neymar can alternate based on which is injured
avatar
I'm glad they downgraded his sliding tackle by one, cause that's really important for a striker with 88 OVR...holy crap EA.
avatar
Unfortunately he's already showing bad attitude, didn't expect that from him

It's pretty simple to understand. Newcastle needed a PL level striker, not just in general, but after Wilson's injury, they really needed it. Which Wood is. He's scored 10+ goals in every season in the PL bar this one. Sure, he's only got 3 this season, but he's got two more than Martial, Same as Rashford, Two less than Kane. One less than Raul Jimenez. Wood also gives us another option, of which we've needed. Gayle is OK, but we needed someone who is consistent in the top flight. We're also 19th. We can't go around spending on inexperienced players like a 19 year old from France. Or find it easy to buy certain players that are in a better position than us, that in a sense also aren't experienced in the PL. Plus. If we do go down. Having a striker like Wood on hand, he'd do really well in the Championship, and would really help push us back up if we did go down.

I don't think Mourinho is at fault, well not completely. He came to our club overconfident, he thought Spurs were a talented team that were underperforming and lacked a winning mentality. He thought he could change that. However, he overestimated our group of players. A lot of our players have a role at this club that their skill level doesn't warrant. Davies: Super average. Dier: solid defender, but too inconsistent to start for a team that wants to win trophies and play UCL. Sanchez: Has never warranted his price tag, and has actually regressed this season. Aurier: I see people praising him, and saying he's improved even though most of our goals have come from his position. His situation is the same as Dier. Doherty: Super average. Sissoko: Athletic player, but what does he offer besides that? Average passer, decent dribbler, poor ball control, average tackler, horrible finisher. If it weren't for his athleticism he'd still be an average player at Newcastle. Lo Celso: Very talented player but can't stay fit for a whole month. Bergwijn: I see people try to defend him, but what has he done? He hasn't scored a single goal as an attacking player. Absolutely atrocious. Lucas: He's been totally irrelevant since Amsterdam. Lamela: Only thing interesting about him at this point is his passion. I hate to say it but he stole a living with us. He never lived up to his price tag, and has been injured half the time. But, has somehow been with us for 7 and a half years. Lamela epitomizes Spurs' failure in the transfer market. Bale: I hate to say it but Bale is an absolute liability with his wages and is bang fucking average. I think he'd find it difficult to start for fucking Burnley. It's so sad at how much his skills and physical abilities have fallen. Like I said before, I believe Mourinho can give us success. He got the best out of our team defensively, but most of our goals conceded are usually from individual fouls, not the defense being poor and unorganized as a whole. We need to be ruthless and let go of the players we don't need. Our lax approach of a transfer policy have caused the players to be subconsciously complacent and comfortable in their role at the club. It doesn't matter how good our coaches are, if we don't replace the unneeded players with more ambitious players, we'll just keep on being disappointed.

imo Jose should give Dele a start or at least significant minutes on Sunday. Yes, he's been bad/out of form for a while, but at the same time, he hasn't been given nearly enough Premier League minutes to get match fitness/consistency or to prove himself. With Lo Celso injured, he should be given more minutes in the midfield. This could allow Ndombele to play deeper and help the team transition more effectively.
avatar
Levy won’t sack mourinho so if he isn’t given EXACTLY what he wants this summer then I’ll have serious doubts about the leadership of this club.
avatar
Tbf, Mourinho said in the summer he was content with the players he had. We seriously need a overhaul of new players.
avatar
Different kinds of hate, and they oscillate.
avatar
Would be a shame but I agree. No point in keeping him if he isn’t going to play. Sabitzer becomes an instant starter
avatar
Ozan instead of Gustavo. Caner is the best Novak is sub. Giuliano is kinda bad, Mesut Ozil should take that spot or Pelkas. Falcao is bad Aboubakar is the best next Boupenza
avatar
Nobody wanna buy a discounted Danny Rose? Would still do a job at mid table or lower end. Scraping dem pennies for Skriniar!

So: Aurier been upping his game since we signed Doherty Davies been upping his game since we signed Reguillon Lucas and Lamela been upping their game since we signed Bale Squad depth is vital in multiple ways
