Those Man City title celebration scenes are genuinely embarrassing....
avatar
It's all meaningless. Their success vastly outpaced their growth of popularity and nobody respects their 'achievements' because it's built on over a decade of systematic cheating.

Haven’t Arsenal always been irrelevant??
avatar
Interesting self-awareness from an Arsenal fan.

Really feeling hopeful and optimistic about next season tbh, we've got good foundations to build from and have a good, solid squad that doesn't require any major fixing. Everything behind the scenes looks absolutely phenomenal, the structure FSG are building could be one of the best in Europe. Arne Slot, our new manager, is coming in with fresh ideas and an exciting brand of football and he has essentially been endorsed by Klopp. It's been a sad day today but we've got a bright future ahead of us.
avatar
That’s how you change the culture of football. Not by winning trophies or using revolutionary tactics but by bringing out raw true emotions from people. Hated or adored but he’ll never be ignored.

I'm getting married in August. I met my soon to be wife in May 2015 and Jurgen joined Liverpool in October 2015. My life has changed massively for the better in those 9 years. He will always be a legend of this club and in our memories! Danke Jurgen
avatar
I'm in my late 20's and I don't know if we'll ever have another manager like Klopp. Of course, he represents all Liverpool supporters, but for anyone around my age, he is truly our guy. Since he's been leading this club I've watched my first major Liverpool trophy, been to my first in-person Liverpool game (preseason in NYC), went to my first Anfield game on new years day this year with my parents (also Liverpool supporters) and my now fiancee, and have had countless other memories with family, friends, and strangers because of what he created at the club. More than anything else, I will miss his guidance, wisdom, character, and integrity. He is a unique individual in the world who is able to help people transcend their circumstances and see what is real and important about this life that we are all blessed to have; love, passion, growth, struggle, failure, stories, experiences, connection. I'm just damn proud to be a Liverpool supporter and thankful to have had this experience with him over the last 9 years.

i'm not ready for goodbye :(

I won't comment on Jurgen leaving as much; I think I could not even put it in the right words. But what I want to share right now is that seeing so many messages about Klopp, our feelings etc. made me realize the incredible sense of belonging I feel with this club. And Jurgen played a massive part in reminding us of that. The quote about turning from doubters to believers was not a mere cliche; he made it a reality. It feels crazy, 9 years is still more than one-third of my life, and I am happy it was in the era of Jurgen Klopp. So many things evolved in the meantime, some great, some bad; overall, I am very grateful on and off the pitch. The fact that some things could be even better makes it exciting and I am looking forward to the future

He was amazing at his peak

You know you’re getting old when you watched someone’s debut and they are turning 36 soon.
avatar
If Diaz really wants to move to Barcelona and they offer us the right price (at least 75m), he's free to go. Becoming annoying now how they deal with this saga
avatar
i think he has a lot of potential but he just doesn't fit with enrique's system, he started the season well with psg and now he has dropped a bit but this guy at 100% is the definition of a destroyer i still remember that game against arsenal in the europa league where he literally destroyed arsenal's midfield he was all over the place.
avatar
Shit id take him here for any price, im saying it now had we had this player this season we would have won the league
avatar
Imo, Klopp goes in history as top 5 greatest Liverpool managers of all time, of course Peasley & Shankly ahead of him. I don’t think he flopped, but I do think he could of achieved more but I understand that he had to deal with Madrid in the CL finals, and with arguably the greatest team in the history of the PL era in Manchester City. If Pep wasn’t around, he would of had at least 3-4 PL trophies to his CV. But oh well, managers come & go but the club remains cycles finish & new ones arise. Good luck in the future, the greatest English team.

Schwarz turned this team around wtf

Casemiro is the better CDM. Fab gave him a good run for his money for a decent stint. It's interesting despite being both Brazilian they had very different career paths. Fab's drop in form had so many factors that made it look worse and magnified it. We came so close and got folded by Madrid in the UCL, Liverpool had so many injuries to the backline, played players like Kabak and Nat Philips. Fab would play as a CB as well during the height of the injury woes. Then we can talk about the physical demand of being in a Klopp midfield, the toll that took, lack of a rotational option besides Hendo and then young Bajcetic later. Then the fact that before he arrived. He played more minutes in his final season in Monaco than he did during any season for LFC ... In trying to exert more energy to cover for team injuries, to cover for teammates, even to cover for himself at times it all eventually caught up to him. Casemiro wasn't utterly ran into the ground, had a rotational option, paced himself better and played in a pretty good possession side with CR7 where results make everything sweeter (Cheick Tiote would feast in that Madrid team in all fairness.) Fab and Hendo are underrated large parts of Klopp changing and adapting his style of play to create a more possession side, It became massively apparent the players had ran themselves into the ground, and Klopp had to to alter his style of play (shape and press triggers) so the team wouldn't run themselves into the ground to the detriment of long term success. Part of the initial Trent inverting and joining the midfield was to ease the burden on Fab, so he'd have less space to cover and less on ball responsibilities as well. Casemiro is still good tbh, it's just that 32 isn't young enough in the prem for a CDM, given how fast the games gotten and the style of play teams have adapted. Genuinely take a look at the CDMs that are 31 and over. Casemiro is pulling a lot of weight for his age despite UTD's poor recent form.
avatar
He’s talented, but the problem is that he’s already excelled in the championship many years ago. It’s really not a challenge for him. Liverpool came calling and it seemed the step was too big for him, and his spell at Leipzig wasn’t any better. There’s potential there, but when you look at his competition, I find it hard to see him getting a chance here. I reckon both he and Sepp will leave this summer.
avatar
Choose to manage Ettifaq. Not difficult to figure out.
avatar
Sorry fellow Liverpool fans its over. And Klopp is leaving too. If you think about it his time here has been a failure because he only won one league with no fans, its very sad but hopefully our next manager is better

They keep bullying these lot. The rate they're going, they're going to have to deduct 2k points from Citeh. https://s3a.sofifa.net/8cd776282e7dda9f98fef4bbd54f8d8c4f43e1cd.jpg

Hate that every time we have one of these games I reminisce about the Firmino/Mané/Salah counter attacking days. Always on the edge of my seat expecting a cool finish. Now when we have 5v2 on the break, I stay sat down

Do you think we have any chance left at winning the league or is it all over

Now that the dust has settled from both of yesterday's games, I do wanna bring up how they gave that late pen against United, which was pretty soft, even if it was a pen, while they didn't give the pen on Macca against City
avatar
Worst fear for Sunday is the refs. If City somehow drop points to Palace, they'll do anything is possible to make us drop points, just like the Spurs game which was played right after City lost to Wolves. And it's Anthony Taylor, a manc. They are cooking something
avatar
I'm going to say something controversial: Despite his G+A numbers, I think that if his rating gets changed it should go down to 88, not up to 90. He's not as fast as he used to be, he can't dribble like he used to and his finishing has dropped a level or two as well. It's just hard to notice because of his incredible positioning and being smarter about his shots.

Late reactions… - Macca in the 8 is a must. Him and VVD our best players this year. - Diaz has had an incredible 2024 so far, no reason to let him go. Would absolutely cook in a 343 lm role. - Gomez should always start at LB. Robbo should come on later in games if we need the goals, he’s incredible ruthless against tired legs late in games. - Thank god Konate ended up okay after a blatant red and disgusting reaction by that forward to jump and scissor Konate’s knee like that (presumably out of frustration). Reminded me of Pickford on VVD. - Classic Darwin goal resulting from pure work-rate - Glad Gakpo got the goal, he just needs confidence to do well - I like Mos reaction. He can redeem himself against United. - Klopps subs changed the game. When finally fully fit our bench will be the reason we win the league if we do.

He's a far more complete midfielder than that cunt ever was. Easily one of the most overrated midfielders in PL history.

Can't wait for the big game that kicks off tonight, to titans of the English game playing eachother should be a entertaining game. I'm backing Truro with home advantage but Hamel Hempstead need the points

VVD’s best trait for me is how compatible he is with almost any defender he pairs up with there’s matches where guys like Lovren, Gomez, Matip, Konate and now even quansah looked solid beside him but whenever they paired up without him they average at best, his best current partner is Konate but his most compatible was Gomez imo.
