I’ll say what most won’t - big ups to Goretzka, man rarely gets his praise but he puts on a shift for full 90 minutes winning challenges, covering runs and going after every header and duel and he did just that today

Davies being the biggest of the defense is a joke, he was in the negatives today. Matthijs, Kimmich and Neuer did well

As bad as Tuchel has been, if he continues the form from the last 2 games, he’s figured out an effective way to use goretzka and Kimmich to bring them back. I hope the next manager implements something similar to that. Goretzkas best abilities are his physicality. Tuchel has used him as a pseudo third CB when we are in build up/defensive phases and has allowed him to run into the box when we are in attacking phases. It’s worked brilliantly. Against lazio he cleared basically every corner and dominated the defense using his strength. Kimmich has been inverting when in possession and acting as a midfielder and drifting to the right when we are attacking. Getting the best out of both worlds for him as well. His open play crossing is one of the best itw and his over the head ball from midfield is the same.

The amount of disrespect Kimmich gets is almost astonishing, man's living for his club day in and day out. At this point in time we really run the risk of having a downfall like juve/utd. We know Leverkusen is likely to lose Alonso, Wirtz, and probably 2/3 other key players next window. But winning the bundesliga won’t be enough next season. We have to go past the quarter finals in CL and have to win the pokal. I still have trust in the old board that they knew what they were doing in bringing this new board. Trusting guys like tel/musiala/kim/de ligt/Pavlocic as the future and maximising Kane/muller/neuer while we have them is key. Going after a mix of young talented players, players in their prime, and a couple of veterans for experience will be key. We first need to get rid of the rot developing in our team. Restructuring the leadership and taking away player power is important. Kimmich/goretzka should not have as much power as they do. Sane/gnabry need to go. Both are on huge wages, both have barely contributed for three seasons. Sane starts every season well then does shit. Gnabry is just a stat padder. Davies has to fuck off. If he doesn’t sign a contract sell him for 50m to Madrid or try use him in a swap deal.

Tuchel isn't happy at what level we are playing atm (says it constantly at the press conference). If he wants to experiment with the formation a bit why not try a midfield trio with Pavlovic, Kimmich and Goretzka. One of Leons strengths is making runs in the area. Did it a lot with Flick and with Nagelsmann as well. He'd have the chance of making those runs and maybe scoring from crosses. Also would create more room for Kane. Pavlovic and Kimmich both could support the attack more as well instead of sitting in front of the defense for the whole game. Then we can bring Müller in as super sub. Tuchel doesn't like to start him anyways. De Ligt has to start. We need leadership at the defense and Guerreiro is our best LB with Davies gone. Guerreiro can make offensive runs and Musiala cuts in the center where he is at his best. I'd like to see this today: Kane Musiala, Sane Pavlovic, Kimmich, Goretzka Guerreiro, Kim, de Ligt, Mazraoui Neuer

But I just feel we cant sack him now, cuz we need a long term coach, i would put that on Xabi if he doesnt go to LFC. Our whole squad has been performing badly. with davies always trying to attack 100% of the time and centre backs being really good with the ball, boey is perfect for the back 4 of bayern because in the contrary of davies he excels at defence, so it balances the shape of the team, the structure of how bayern attacks with the ball. so for RB bayern always wanted someone who is physical and good at recoveries, tackles and all that defensive work, and boey is both one of the best at what he does and also quite cheap compared to other alternatives. fantastic work for them

Well I know everyone will want to mention the match but I think fair play to you guys that was a lovely tribute to Franz Beckenbauer. I know how much this giant meant to this club and unfortunately I never got to see him as a player (my dad did and he said he was the best defender he’d ever seen) so yeah overall a wonderful tribute to a wonderful player.
