Messi instead insults his opponents, the referee (who helped him all game), the opponent coaching staff, and a bunch of other people. And he did insult his teammates and the Argentinian fans when he said he wouldn't play for your country anymore (remember that?). Yeah... What a 'great' player. He was diving all game because he knew Lahoz had his back. Got classes from Neymar. Argentina has a great team and all of you Argentinians should stop shitting on all of the other players. Your coach put a good formation on the field and players like Lisandro Martinez are insanely good. Players like De Paul and Mac Allister are running double marathons to cover the ground Messi isn't covering since he walks all game. To pretend like they are delivering a 'disasterclass' is just disrespectful.

Hard to say how well he comes back from the injury he had considering how bad it was. Also didnt have the level before the injury. We need a starter RB.
avatar
He couldnt though, in spain its illegal to have a contract with less than 50% of your previous wage so it was not an option. Best they could do was 50% and messi was ready to take that, barca was just too deep in debt.
avatar
It is insane for sure. Affecting the fans as well having to pay more to be able to watch their teams

Raiola might have played a factor but he chose raiola as his agent knowing how he deals. Good for players but skyrockets the money in football. In general wages have just gone crazy, it is the same in barca, real and english top clubs for the last many years. Imo both contracts (haaland and mbappe) are gonna bring a revolution to contracts similarly to how the neymar transfer did for transfer prices.
avatar
Agreed but i kinda think Haaland did that already as well, with the massive wages and agent fees. Also how he is forcing a release clause where both he and the club he is at can benefit from it. Saw it at dortmund with the 80m now at city with 150m (or whatever it is). Definently gonna inspire player to do similar stuff, just pumping more money into football.

He still has a contract until 2023 so nothing is certain though

Hope he ends up staying, he has been doing well at bayern
avatar
Arent there talks about gnabry leaving? Think i read something like that
avatar
Dont think his fifa rating is underrated, but he is getting so much hate while giving a good return since coming, just needs to improve in front of goal. Hope he proves the haters wrong next season
avatar
Imo it is bad that he seems like he is leaving with how well he has been doing in Xavi's system, but if he and his agents are not willing to meet wage demands i guess it is best he moves on. I do not really think he has done much to warrant a higher wage considering how little he has been available for us and therefore contributed, regardless of how good he has been for Xavi.

Exactly, people saying it are obviously joking

Suarez was sent away with a different manager and bartomeu in charge. I dont find it weird that other people has other ideas of what transfer decisions to make. Suarez also went to a completely different playstyle so it seems logicsl that he isnt producing the same. I can see lewandowski do well in barca considering how many chances we create in some matches to then throw them away cause we are lacking a goalscorer.
avatar
Not trying to justify it but these contracts are from bartomeu era. Not current board. Doesnt mean that they can just not pay employees ofc but everything bartomeu did was killing the club. Current board is going to extreme measures to fix an extreme situation

Gimenez did not dive.
