For any new fan of the league or someone who wants to know more about the A-League I wrote this summary on all the teams. Please note I wrote this on the 17th of January so the table positions are inaccurate. Wellington Phoenix are the only current team from New Zealand but there was a defunct team that used to be in the A-League from New Zealand as well as a new one joining next season along with a Canberra team. They haven’t won a single trophy but are currently in 1st place. Could this be the year the finally win something? They have a rivalry with Perth Glory. Central Coast Mariners are the reigning champions of the league and are probably the best club at producing young talent. They are based in the coastal beaches of northern New South Wales. They have won 2 championships but for a while were one of the worst teams in the league before they changed their philosophy and turned it around impressively. They have the most beautiful stadium in the league and arguably in he world. They are 4th. Macarthur FC who are the newest team in the league and have the smallest fanbase. This is their 4th season of existence and they’ve won 1 trophy (more than Spurs). They’re based in South-West Sydney. They’re currently 7th in the league. My club is Sydney FC, one of the original clubs. We’re the biggest club in the country and we’ve won the most trophies and have had the best single season to date winning the double and were one game off an invincible season. The 16/17 season remains the highest points tally to date. We’ve got arguably the biggest fanbase in the A-League but that is often debated with Melbourne Victory supporters. We’re based in Sydney in the East and Northern suburbs and cities. We’ve started the season poorly and we’re 9th. Adelaide United is one of 3 clubs in the A-League that existed before the league started. They’re known for being arguably the best club at producing young talent which is often debated with Central Coast Mariners. They have a solid fanbase and fill up their stadium regularly. They are the only club in South Australia based in the states capital city of Adelaide. They’re currently 5th in the A-League. Western United are the 2nd newest team and this is their 5th season. They were A-League champions in 2022. They are based in West Victoria. They have an ageing squad and are currently bottom of the league in 12th place. Brisbane Roar are the only team in Queensland however there were 2 teams that used to be in the A-League based in Queensland that are now defunct however one of them still exists in Queensland’s 2nd tier. They were once one of the most feared teams in Australia with Ange Postecoglou as their head coach. However the last 4-5 years have been very disappointing and they have been floating around the bottom places in the table. This season they started well but their coach left on Christmas eve and they have fallen off once again. They have one of the stronger fanbases in the league. They are currently 8th in the A-League. Melbourne City (formerly known as Melbourne Heart) are one of 3 Victorian teams in the A-League and have been particularly dominant in the last few seasons. They often with the premiership but choke in the finals losing 6-1 in last seasons grand final. This season however, they have been disappointing and are currently 6th. They have a good fanbase but are outvoiced by Melbourne Victory fans. Perth Glory is the oldest club in the A-League and the only team in Western Australia. They won a lot of trophies before the A-League started but in the A-League they’ve won only 1 premiership and are yet to win a championship. The last 5 years they’ve had financial problems and have been in the bottom places in the A-League. They are currently 2nd last in 11th place. Newcastle Jets (formerly known as Newcastle United) are 1 of 3 clubs that existed before the A-League. They are based in Northern New South Wales. They have only won a single trophy being champions in 2008 after a Grand Final in over their rivals Central Coast Mariners. They are 10th place. Melbourne Victory is a club based in Victoria. They have arguably the biggest fanbase in the league. They have rivalries with Sydney FC, Melbourne City and Adelaide United. They’ve won 3 premierships and 2 championships. Recently they have been ip and down in the last couple of seasons either nearly winning it or finishing near the bottom. Currently this season they are unbeaten and are 2nd place. Western Sydney Wanderers are based in the Western Suburbs of Sydney and have been in the A-League for over 10 years. In the A-League they’ve won nothing but they are the only club in Australia to have won an Asian Champions League. They have one of the best fanbases in the league. Last season they broke the drought of choking finals football but were knocked out by us in a Sydney derby defeat at home. They are currently 3rd.

No, Nantes has a bad reputation but there are just some areas where you don't go after midnight and I believe it's the same for every city. Tourists are more than welcome here

He just has to go. One of the highest paid players in Belgium, customer of mafia Bayat... I like Trebel and his style of play and what he has done for Anderlecht. But we finally have to turn this page. Anderlecht is better without him
