Being a footballer is an honor already, you represent towns, cities, countries and thousands upon thousands of people. I don't think Greenwood is the caliber of man that should be afforded that honor. I understand in time he will and has probably matured. But it takes an ugly human being to do what he did, In the gifted position at UTD he was in at the time as well. Rape and domestic violence even consensually (cuz theres some freaks out there willing to believe it might have been) isn't acceptable within the sport in any capacity imo. Kids watch and play this sport, For generations and generations globally they have been and continue to look up too and idolise these athletes. UTD have been scummy money lickers for not releasing him, They're accountable and enabling the degrading of women. I don't blame him for continuing playing, course he would.. But by letting him get away without much of a punishment it'll only just enable more abusers. Women deserve better. And Man UTD despite my respect, come of looking like they have no fucking integrity. It's been horrible 'hey we could still make money' handling on their part. Shameful.
