The things I’d do to have a 25+ goal a season striker like Haaland… Yes, he’s a limited player, but he knows how to find the back of the net. Jota is the closest thing we have to that player, and we are having to pray he stays fit every match. In all honestly, Jota could easily stay fit a couple more months every season if he stopped flying into every challenge. I like his tenacity, but so many of his injuries are picked up from throwing himself into dangerous situations. Maybe Arne will realize that, and tell him to be more cautious.

If we are going to win the PL/CL next season it's at least two signings that bring an end to the collective clown defending. Mostly we look great for good long patches, then it falls apart for easy goals. Someone who looks at this coldly sees then need for a solid LB who's a good defender positionally, one-on-one, good in the air, and has a whipped cross on him. Don't want to bring him down as he's useful, always will want a top CDM upgrade on Endo. Prime Fab stopped a lot of things at source before they get into the back-4. Endo is good, but not top standard.

That's not the right way to interpret possession. You're not in control if the opposition surrenders you possession. You're only in control if you regularly steal possession and use it to exert pressure. To set the possession record against the bottom team in the league that plays with a back 5 isn't anything to be interested in. To do it against a possession orientated team is a more appropriate indicator of where we are. But we were excellent tonight when the subs game on to up the intensity.
