I can't believe some people are laughing at him being linked to Barcelona. If this deal happens, it’s a steal. Statistically, he's been one of the best midfielders in the Bundesliga this season. In my opinion, he's one of the league’s best passers, with unreal passing and solid defensive abilities. He’s undoubtedly Stuttgart’s best midfielder this season and the closest German midfielder to Toni Kroos. I know that’s a big comparison, I'm not saying he’s on Kroos’s level yet, and no one will like him ever but he’s similar to him in many ways . It would be great to see him finally get the recognition he deserves for months now. Hansi Flick has been a fan of his since his time at Bayern II and Hoffenheim, and we all know how Flick can bring out the best in any midfielder. He played 32 matches this season, starting 31, which is incredible. He’s literally the future of Germany's midfield. I just hope that wherever he goes, he becomes the player he has the potential to world class.
