Well Conte bases his tactics on a rocksolid defense and fast paced lateral counterattacks using the "wingers" who then cross to the striker. He has won a scudetto with INter like this so I know for a fact he doesn't have a "plan B" and we exited from the champions due to that during 2020 and 2021. Ancelotti is a great coach (probably the GOAT for his palmares), but his level of tacticism ain't that high. He relies more on the technical abilities of his players and he's able to greater a solid "teamwork" philosophy within the team.

I didn't say Pep is winning just because the others are not at the same level (he is an elite coach), I'm saying that Prem is tactically poor and Emery, De Zerbi and Arteta are the perfect examples of how even without having excessive money or experience they still are getting excellent results. Indeed city is the only team with a combination of high tactics and money which allows them to win every year the league compared to other teams that don't have these components. Last year Brighton, Inter, and a few other teams with high levels of tacticism made life hard for city (with Guardiola complimenting De Zerbi and Inzaghi), a thing that the majority of prem teams aren't able to do because they don't have any.

Although i agree with pretty much everything Schmidt is still our problem. The way he: Accepts mediocrity as a top season.
