Ok maybe he can't score but he can create chances unlike Morata
avatar
Dumb comment. Werner is a striker. That means he doesn't replace Mount or Reece. Also, Ziyech has barely played this season lol.
avatar
Modric also won it when Ronaldo was clearly the best and this time Jorginho actually won the Euros and the champions league...for me if it was down to individual level Lewandowski would be my choice by far
avatar
First of all, as I said, some people only understand football as it's played in the Prem or Fifa, and obviously a lot of Chelsea fans will fall into that category, since they are Prem fans. It's not surprising that they don;t appreciate Jorginho as much as other people do, and it doesn't say anything about his value. Second, I never said he was a clear starter. If I was a coach and for some reason I absolutely wanted to play with a 2 men midfield, I would definitely pick Kovacic over him since he fits the role better alongside Kante. Still though, Jorginho was far from shit, playing in a position that doesn't suit him as much, and helped his team to the CL. I don't see what your insults change any of that.
avatar
It's quite curious to see how many haters this guys has. Like, seeing people asking for a rating of 85 or 86 getting downvoted when he clearly deserves that. And whenever you see people actually elaborating on their criticism towards him, it's always the same. Essentially it always boils down to "he's slow he's weak". I swear some people only understand football the way it's played in the Prem or on Fifa. Wake up fellas, football has evolved. In case you haven't noticed, Pirlo changed the game. The low regista can be the main offensive creator of a team, and his offense can be much more valuable than his defense. As long as he's surrounded and supported by the other 2 midfielders, a CDM doesn't absolutely need to have very high intensity, pace and physicality. All he needs to do, as long as the team stays compact, is having good positional awareness. If he can make the whole team play better through his offense, then it will be more than worth it to lose some muscles on the defensive side to let him play. Also Jorginho is a specialist, but not as much as people make sound. I mean, he was still a starter for a CL winning Chelsea side while playing as a double pivot which is not his favored position.
avatar
If Modric won it than Jorginho should win it too and it’s a disgrace to football...Lewandowski should be the one to win it he broke the all time scorer in Bundesliga he was just unstoppable
avatar
its just because modric won both champions league and international trophy in the same season, which jorginho did too.
avatar
86/86, wouldn’t even bat an eye if he was 88/88 considering fucking casemiro is 89/89…
avatar
Hopefully people will respect him more after this season and see how he well can play when used in the proper role and manner. He's not an all-time great like Pirlo obviously, so people shouldn't make him out to be a player of that calibre, but he's still great player and a wonderful regista who is great at what he does when it comes to keeping and distributing the ball, reading the game, and helping out defensively by covering ground and intercepting balls, and he's won some big titles with Chelsea and Italy. Only criticism today was the potentially title winning penalty he missed in the shootout, after already scoring the winner against Spain and usually being so reliable from the spot, but otherwise he had a great tournament for the most part (wasn't brilliant against Spain though, but he made up for it with the winning penalty in the shoot-out)!
avatar
This comment reeks of only playing FIFA lol. He dictates the tempo, defends well, moves the ball from left to right and occasionally plays the long ball
avatar
I mean a Champions League and he won the Euro's. That's pretty good in my book. What does Messi have this season? This is a pretty below average season for him. All he has is a Copa Del Rey which isn't too relevant and the Copa America. I'm not saying Jorginho deserves it but he is a contender. Lewa deserves it imo.
avatar
Messi or Jorginho bcos Messi won Copa America and Jorginho won EUROs.
avatar
“And that’s it”. You’re right, Jorginho had no part to play in either trophies. He only played the second most minutes in the whole tournament LOL. More than Pickford
avatar
90/90 ballon d’or winner
avatar
One of the most genius players on the pitch at any given time. He plays GREAT FOOTBALL. Jorginho is a pinpoint passer no matter what, and he reads games defensively so well. Slander is so unwarranted. 86/86 next fifa please.
avatar
if he wins the Euros and has a good start to the season just give him ballon d'or bc no one else seems to deserve it
avatar
He deserves to be in the discussion if we win Sunday the other names are KDB and Lewandowski. Kante didn't have a great tournament and Messi didn't achieve any relevant success with Barcelona. So I don't think that it would be weird to give it to him
avatar
This guy gets it
avatar
85/85
avatar
The only people who say he’s shit have no clue about football
avatar
Really really underrated but because only if you know football you can really appreciate him
avatar
Could easily be higher than that too. That's like the ultimate bare minimum
avatar
85/85
avatar
86/86

1st-Mourinho: I mean, great manager, the second lapse was unfortunate at the end,but other than that he was Chelsea's best manager ever 2nd-Conte: when he was here, that 16-17 season,my god,we were the best team in england 3rd-Tuchel: Revolutionized Chelsea,(so did Conte and Mou) but this man brought us up from 9th to 4th in no time, won a UCL trashing both Real and Atleti,if he makes Timo score,he will be over Conte for me 4th-Ancelotti: I just despise Real Madrid 5th-DiMatteo: More Team than manager for me
avatar
I’ll split Jose into his first and second times (if that’s allowed). 1. Jose (first time) Won us our first title in 50 years, broke a crap ton of records (points accumulated and victories), played great, won a second title, established us as a scary team, I think had Mourinho not come back then, we’d be far worse off than we originally were. 2: Tuchel Maybe this is controversial but he completely changed the way we played, our system, our fluidity and defensive rigidity, we got instant results and ended up winning the UCL. Sure his time was short and even something small can change where he is but he’s been nothing short of revolutionary for us. 3 and 4 (tied): Jose (second time) and Conte Jose’s second time was so unfortunate because of the last season. If that season disappeared, he would maybe be number 2 as he won us our first title in 5 years (not that long tbh) and we again became a force to be reckoned with. On the other hand, we have Conte who did basically the same as Jose did but reversed; Conte did amazing in his first season but dipped due to unfortunate circumstances and transfers. I’d place them exactly next to each other because their impacts and consequences were similar. 5: Di Matteo That UCL campaign is literally still ingrained in my head (to the point of making a short novel about a kid who’s school football team has the exact same journey in their local tournament) and it was so special, as our team then wasn’t star studded; it was quite old and Di Matteo inherited a mess. The thing is, I don’t know how much of that is luck or skill. Yes he won us the UCL but this was different from Tuchel; this felt more akin to a purple patch. Controversial but I stand firm. 6: Ancelotti A very hot take, but I feel like from 2007-09 we definitely could have won the league title but it was just due to some unfortunate situation we didn’t, but our team was so capable. This is why I think Carlo winning the league wasn’t all too impressive. Besides, we hit a horrific run of form the next season and ref decisions bailed us out.
avatar
Not yet mate. Jorginho is impeccable so far
avatar
I didn't know Kante, Silva, and Jorginho all counted as one world class player lol... Also not only did we win it, we won it with a lot of young talent. That will all be world class and only improve.
avatar
People that still doubt him need to watch him more. I was a big doubster too and couldn't wait to see him get sold but honestly everything changed with Tuchel. Physically he's already very difficult to beat, very fast and strong very aggressive and now his concentration is no longer a problem. When managed well he's a beast.
avatar
Pretty harsh imo, the fact he "got a few assists" and "drags defenders wide" were both key reasons for the goals we did score and as much as he missed plenty of big chances, he's not the sole reason we didn't score more than 2 goals that often under Tuchel. Don't have to be a fanboy but he finished the season as our leader in terms of goals and assists and with a new striker alongside him, he and Kai should both improve markedly next season. Werner's only 24, there plenty of improvement left in him and with a proper preseason should be better adapted.
avatar
Some facts for you because the hate and banter gets out of hand: Werner ... ... has hit double digits in both goals + assists in his first season in a different country and league ... is a regular starter in one of the strongest teams in the world ... scored more than 100 goals from 2016-2020 (and pls dont come with fArMeRs LeAgUe) ... has accomplished more in his life than anyone of you by the age of 25 ... earns more than anyone of you ... has a prettier girlfriend than you (although it might be a minimal part of the users here that actually have one) Some of the critics are legit, but you guys act like he is a fraud and bad player. Chill and watch his Second Season 😎

Greenwood is clear, In greenwood's 19/20 season he has 1 less G/A than CHO in his entire PL career. Further more Dan James has more g/a in his entire PL than CHO in his entire PL career. Dan James as well has played less. CHO isn't very good.
avatar
Greenwood is clear of CHO
avatar
We don't really need him, and there's no need to disrespect United. Our team is already filled with attacking players. Also, with the possible addition of Haaland and Hakimi, around 300m will have to be spent if we get Sancho as well.
avatar
60 mil + Emerson will be hopefully enough for him 🔵🔵🔵
avatar
You know why he was worse in the beginning of the season? Same reason as to why Havertz was bad, Lampard didn't know how to use them. Werner is far from a LW or a ST, he needs to be in a 2/3 Striker setup to work properly and Tuchel understood that and made it work.
avatar
You’re a joke. Jorginho should be at minimum 85
avatar
He’s such a good player
avatar
Nah his squad was not average. He had a better team than Spurs Arsenal Leicester who were his competition for top 4
avatar
Lampard had the same squad as Tuchel
avatar
Him drawing away Dias opened such a big space for Havertz to run into. That's what makes a great striker, not only the ability to score goals, but also the ability to help your team get into better situations. 30% Werner 40% Havertz 25% Mount 5% Chilwell
avatar
Best Striker this season better than Kane who can't even qualify for EL 90/92
avatar
Too good for Everton
avatar
Probably the worst option possible hes terrible
avatar
WB- I’d rather keep Emerson over Alonso, however Alonso has proven to be important this season. Between one of those and Chilwell we don’t need anyone else just promote from the academy. CM- Can’t lose Jorge, this squad is young and senior members are key to keeping everyone in line. But a new CM/CDM is needed for bulking up. FW- Ziyech for Sancho would be amazing but if we play him more centrally he can be great. Been a slow start but he can come good, if we can give Timo and Havertz time, he can certainly have more time.
avatar
Bro go learn some football and come. Not everybody has to score 20 goals a season and make 15 assists. He is such a calming presence on the pitch. Relieves all the pressure, nearly receives the ball and switches play or plays a short pass. His long range passing is insane too. He is a deep lying defensive midfielder. He has the HIGHEST interceptions + ball recoveries in this year's UCL. Yes, you read that right. Higher than Kante. So before you trash talk Chelsea's vice captain, go and read more on the impact of a regista in a team.
avatar
30% of the goal was because of him.
avatar
Seeing azpi lift the ucl makes me sick
avatar
He's borderline WC when used correctly and playing at his best
avatar
Wow the comments on here are full of jokes. Jorginho should be 85.
avatar
It will take months to fix the damage done to this squad by Lampardball
avatar
Once Chelsea sacks Fat Frank and brings in a real manager with a successful track record like Klopp, Flick, or Zidane Havertz and Werner will no longer be played out of position, regain their playing form, confidence and finally make Chelsea's lackluster attack dangerous again.
avatar
Last season he got destroyed by Bayern as well.
avatar
Bye Fat Frank. Won't miss your constant crying and whinging but you'll probably be doing it on sky sports or some sort of punditry anyway. England and Chelsea legend. What a player in his day. Shame he's a man-child.
avatar
Lampard is a fraud, anyone who disagrees is either a troll or a complete moron.
avatar
Honestly the problems with lampard were his ego, stubbornness, naivety, and inexperience brendan Rodgers had the same problems at liverpool then after he got sacked learned a lot then got his ego back from celtic
avatar
Can you blame Kovacic? Player of the season but can’t get a game over mason fucking mount
avatar
What’s everyone thoughts on Lampard sacking?? Personally I think it’s a good thing cause Lampard wasn’t the right manager for them. Hopefully tuchel can get the best out of Werner and Havertz
avatar
Imagine being obsessed over Declan rice like he's generational ffs. Lampard deserves to be sacked for that just alone
avatar
Good thing sacking Lampard and taking Tuchel, he will make Chelsea title contenders imo, he’s also german so he’ll have a better relationship with Havertz and Werner and will know how to use them properly. Also a massive F to Mount, he won’t start anymore lmao
