When Mbamba went to Leverkusen he already had first team experience at Brügge and therefore he instantly went into the senior team at Leverkusen but didn't really get any minutes. Monamay came here in 2022 as a 16 year old who only ever played in youth squads and he was and is an integral part of our under 19 squad. He is still only 17 years old and isn't even officially part of the senior team even though he does train with them. Engels is a horrible comparison since he is 3 years older than Monamay.
