YourGun 10 O'Klopp

Klopp love ya but boy it really is the time to go. What the hell is our buildup in this game Like at some point quansah had the ball and the whole team was waiting for a ball behind their defence, quansah proceded to pass to ali who booted the ball at the first opportunity and they gained possession. Im so tired of us hoofing the ball when we run out of options, if trent isnt up to it like today we look terrible. Big changes needed both in personnel and in tactics.

Gakpo is going to explode under Slot. I just know it…

Look at this comment, picture it, cherish it, savour it. Why? It's a rare example of some pregame positivity from our resident pessimist. How long will this positivity last? Probably not very long.

Twitter is mad ngl 😭😭😭 https://twitter.com/ArsenalN7/status/1789975648435331550?s=19
avatar
We should score 4 or 5 past them im serious, the shit ive seen them play recently is horrendous. Our attack seems to be on the up again recently. If salah gakpo and whoever else play we should be fine.
avatar
Hearing names like pacho being quoted for 50-60mil when this guy is probably better. If mainz do activate that 8mil clause they will be robbing us blind.
avatar
https://twitter.com/BenBocsak/status/1789988547639841055 That's outrageous.
avatar
You ain't winning no pl my guy just thought id let you know
avatar
Me too but honestly i have hope for the future and im very excited for the upcoming summer and the changes made to the squad.
avatar
Couldn’t win a single game against this pitiful United side. 🤦‍♂️
avatar
Garnacho makes Luis Diaz look like Ronaldinho. My god he's horrid.
avatar
That and also if Jota stayed fit. Everytime Salah comes back from AFCON he’s poor.
avatar
It wasn’t just salah. Losing almost everyone except our cbs hurt us the most as we had too many players off form.
avatar
Nope i Hope Luton stay up

You've been at that game too? That's actually cool, I've been there too.

All signs of Slot's play style seems to point in the direction of Szoboszlai cooking. According to The Athletic's breakdown video, they discuss how Slot's AM is "untrackable" and makes many runs from deep and often finds himself in the box as the furthest forward. Take Szoboszlai's defensive duties off him and we could be in business. Very exciting times

Sergio Busquets hasn't tweeted anything on his Twitter account since that game 5 years ago. The game broke him. https://twitter.com/5sergiob/status/1125507597573021696?t=by0KHYS6DBA4sQq0LZMhlQ&s=19

Yellow card to Trent for unsportsmanlike behaviour as the Ref wasn't ready, we played to the whistle but the Ref didn't like how it 'felt', Red card for Klopp too (for asking why they are so thick). VAR has a look and says it's right to disallow it. Dermot Gallagher in the studio afterwards: “They can, but don’t forget they have to go on what the referee says. “So the referee says ‘this is why I haven’t given it’, you look at the pictures. “He will say ‘I think he’s played it too quickly for my liking’ – you look at that picture, you can’t really argue with the referee there. “He’s in the perfect position and he waves it away immediately, says no.” Asked whether it would influence a referee differently had Trent taken the corner less ‘dramatically’, Gallagher agreed that was likely. “I actually think that, honestly,” he continued. “How he’s taken that corner has convinced the referee that he’s trying to gain an advantage. Because the referee’s got a perfect view. “If you look, the referee is as close as I am to you if you like, and he waves it away straight away. “I think that sells it in his mind, that he’s walked away then taken it himself.”

Man wanted to retweet but he missed. 😭😭

I can't give up on him just yet, he deserves one more season.

As Greek says, agree with most disagree with a few, what I'd personally add: 1) completely agree on Ibou, but I think he can step up his game, even in passing. 2) Jones I think if he can continue where he ended before the injury he might be more than competent choice for Slot, at least as a rotation option 3) Fabio can be a brilliant 10 for Slot... Let's give him at least the pre season... 4) Whilst I think all three Macca, Gravy and Elliott will play a massive part, that midfield three just feels incredibly imbalanced and just opinion, not a reaction - I like many of the players, but looking at the options, I cant see that team winning big trophies next season. Hopefully it will be the last transitional season, before we make the final changes to make the team unbeatable again

Everything I have to say about the upcoming season under slot. Prepare to read… Winners/losers (won’t include Adrian, Matip, Thiago, and academy players) Alisson: winner Nothing more to say. Kelleher: unsure Brilliant backup goalkeeper with all the skills to succeed in the system. Only question is whether he will have a lot of suitors this summer, and where he wants to go in his career. Trent: winner Assuming he plays fullback under Arne, Trent won’t play a prominent role in buildup play, but will be influential in the final third. He will have freedom to move inside or overlap, which is perfectly suited to his game. Bradley: winner Don’t have much to say. Robbo: winner Will be back in his more traditional role, and should excel since he won’t be relied on in buildup, which is his biggest weakness. Tsimikas: loser Would be a good fit in the system, but I can’t help but feel his time at Liverpool is coming to an end. Beck: unsure Shown lots of potential, and I’m a big fan, but he has suitors in Scotland, so I could see him leaving. Joe Gomez: unsure Not too sure where he’d play under Arne. We’ve seen him excel in an inverted left back role this season, but I’m not sure Arne will use him the same way Klopp did. Gomez has the ball-playing ability to be a center half in Arne’s setup, but there are many other players who can play in that role. Virgil: winner Nothing more to say. Ibou: loser May come as a surprise to some, but despite his defensive excellence, I feel Ibou will have to make drastic improvements to fit into Arne’s setup. While he has improved a little since joining the club, Ibou is still very poor on the ball. Arne likes to buildup in central areas, similar to De Zerbi, and Ibou lacks the progressive skills and composure to fit this style. Combine that with his constant injuries, and I think he will settle for a spot on the bench next season. Quansah: winner Depending on who is brought in this summer, I think Quansah may be the starting partner alongside Van Dijk next season. His composure on the ball and progressive play makes him perfect for Arne’s system, and he’s only going to get better with time. Sepp van den Berg: loser While he’s performed well for Mainz, I doubt he will ever become a Liverpool-level defender. Despite having possible connections to Arne from his time at PEC Zwolle, he does not have the technical skills of an Arne center half. Mainz has a buyout clause, and I’m sure he will have suitors even if Mainz doesn’t sign him. Endo: loser This is primarily due to his age, but Arne’s system does not rely on a single pivot-player, and I’m not sure if Endo has the progressive ability of an Arne player. I’m sure he can play a valuable squad role, but his time as a starter here will probably come to an end. Bajcetic: winner I honestly think Bajcetic would be a winner no matter who came in because he just has that much potential. Morton: unsure Definitely has the technical ability to become a quality player here, but I’m not sure if he’s ready yet. Could see him leaving on loan to a lower-level Premier League side. Macca: winner Similar system to De Zerbi’s, and we all know how good he was at Brighton. Expecting him to play in the double-pivot, and play a key role in progressing play. Gravenberch: winner Possibly the biggest winner of Arne coming in. Obviously has so much potential, and I think he’d be brilliant as a lcm in the double-pivot under Arne. Jones: unsure He had a positive start to the season, but injuries have hindered his development. I’m slightly worried because Jones has taken so long to adapt to the Prem and Klopp’s system, and he may need lots of time to adapt to Arne’s. Jones has technical skills, but I still think he struggles to play quickly. Szobo: winner Should play a more advanced role under Arne. Assuming he starts in the 10, he will have freedom to drift into wider areas and make late runs into the box. I think he’ll be exceptional. Harvey: winner Same as Dom. Salah: unsure Stats show that Salah’s still in his prime, but I think it is fair to say he’s not been passing the eye test as well this season. I still think he has at least 1-2 top quality seasons left in him, and I’m sure Edwards thinks the same according to the reports. Carvalho: loser Arne’s style could suit Carvalho, but I find it hard to see him making it here. He will face lots of competition from players who are considerably better than him right now. Definitely has potential, but I see him being sold this summer. Lucho: winner I think he’ll do wonderfully under Arne. Arne’s philosophy is built on buildup in central areas before isolating forwards 1v1. We all know that’s Lucho’s biggest strength, and while he won’t carry the team in terms of G/A, he will create lots of chances for those around him. Jota: winner Brilliant player that’s only held back by injuries. Gakpo: winner Another massive winner. Contrary to popular belief, I don’t think Gakpo’s main position will be as a winger or 10 under Arne, although he may feature there from time to time. I think Gakpo will start at striker, and the role Santiago Gimenez plays under Arne would be perfectly suited for Gakkers. He won’t be reliable for running channels, and he can drop deeper to linkup/holdup play from time to time. It’s not uncommon to see Arne go direct to a striker from time to time, and Gakpo’s holdup play is very underrated. Darwin: unsure Arne could adapt his system to better suit Darwin, but I think Darwin has one last season to prove himself here. Arne likes more technical forwards, and Darwin’s holdup play can either be brilliant or very dodgy. I wonder if Darwin may play a more composed game in a team that has a less chaotic style of play (Arne’s style is considerably more controlled than Klopp’s, albeit not as controlled as a Pep or Arteta). I’d love to say Darwin will be a success here, but I’m just not sure right now. Transfers: Goalkeeper: In the case that Kelleher leaves, I could see us going for Anthony Patterson (previously linked). Patterson looks great on the ball, but would need to improve considerably on his cross-claiming ability. Center half: This is where I think we need a marquee signing. Pacho has been linked recently, but I’m not totally sure on his ball-playing ability. I’d actually advocate for us to put in a big bid for Levi Colwill (previously linked). He’s not had the best of seasons at Chelsea, but he’s brilliant on the ball, good in the air, and I’m sure will be a solid defender in a better team. Chelsea need to balance the books, and I think he’d be worth a big fee. Another option that has impressed me every time I’ve watched him would be Nico Schotterbeck. Exceptional on the ball, and a solid defender. He can be caught out from mistakes, but that’s because he plays a risky game. Left back: Need somebody young and technical. Heard some rumors around De Cuyper and Kadioglu. Haven’t seen too much of either, but from what I’ve heard they both seem to fit the bill. Not expecting us to break the bank for a backup. Forward: I think we need a young, versatile forward. Some people are bit advocates of Bakayoko, but I wouldn’t profile him as versatile. Summerville looks very interesting, and I was impressed when I watched him last season for Leeds. Nusa also looks promising, and I’m a big fan of Luca Koleosho. Any of those three would be great additions. Once again, not expecting us to break the bank this summer. Here is my squad for next season: https://sofifa.com/squad/1836363 Here is how I think we will look in buildup: https://s3a.sofifa.net/dc37f0e6d1480b0cb3e13da6b415c2db3b3f7adf.jpg Here is how I think we will look during sustained periods of possession in the attacking third: https://s3a.sofifa.net/0b6f680a2e7907fe4e7e0aa41f2a59916aa82a5a.jpg Would be interested to hear what your opinions are.

Mane looks fresh off the boat ffs 🤣 Firmino looks like a Korean villain Klopp looks like a crazy scientist Alisson looks like those YouTube vloggers that explore the most random stuff
avatar
No he got a ton of abuse and death threats so he's deleted the posts until the heat dies down it's a very common social media strategy when people come under fire
avatar
Gakpo had an amazing game. Lots of people aren’t keen on him at a center forward, but I am. I think in a more controlled setup like Arne’s, he will explode. I think Diaz will be brilliant under Slot, as well.
avatar
Running about with that man bun must have pulled his skull down and applied excessive force on his brain resulting in permanent damage. It's pretty much the only valid theory left to explain Darwizzy's mononeuronal behaviour.
avatar
This honestly looks like a friendly at this point.

there is no way some arsenal fans believe this spurs side will stop city
avatar
i remember when your team beat us 2-1 and celebrated as if they had won the league lmao
avatar
He should not be this good at passing as a CB at 21 years old.
avatar
Quansah ability on the ball is a breath of fresh air over konate
avatar
I'd drop Szobo for Gravenberch and Gakpo for Diaz Spurs play a very high line so Diaz pace would be very useful
avatar
Gravy should start he deserves it.
avatar
shameless fanbase
avatar
I remember arsenal fans telling us that we both had decisions going against us this season😭
avatar
btw arsenal have been doing that to gk at comers all season and getting away with it btw

Team Liverpool

I may be looking way too much into this and we probably don't know the full details. I kinda understand Salah being upset at not being brought up earlier to rescue the game but fam, there's a reason why you're benched in the first place and it's not an injury...
avatar
Obviously not who we expected but reading about him and his tactics and the view from Netherlands on his credentials make me feel we could be entertaining to watch again so quite excited.

to all the people moaning about Slot: shut up. If you have concerns, fine, if you have a specific thought, fine, write it down, lets discuss it. But lets just stop with the "trash dont want him" without any substance whatsoever. Out of the arguments such as ETH comparisons or the Eredivisie card, him being bald is the only real issue we are dealing with. There are very good arguments why he should be a good fit. The squad is talented but still needs another season to deal with any setbacks and finish the rebuild. Exciting seasons ahead
avatar
I think both can work at LCM in the pivot (behind Macca in the pecking order), especially Gravy

Lmao get fucked Amorim, how greedy can you be that even West Ham said no
avatar
https://x.com/TheAnfieldTalk/status/1783878697503642057 What did i tell you guys. I was the only one to suggest Amorim wasnt the preffered choice because of his refusal to drop the 343 here. Looks like i was right again. Agree with the clubs decision never wanted that 343 shite here it just doesnt fit the club.
avatar
1 month of poor form in what was to be a rebuild season is a downfall? I’ll take it.
avatar
Rotational CAM/RW - we’ll figure out his best position soon enough
avatar
Dont think ill be watching the remaining games whats the point? Everyone has given up, the players the manager everyone. Nothing to play for. Time for major changes in the summer.
avatar
He's returning from injury and getting back in to rhythm and form, do you not remember when, before his injury, he was one of, if not our most important midfielder? Also, he's scouse and understands this derby, along with Trent, more than anybody else in the squad could possibly comprehend. That matters.
