When he played for us this guy's finishing was on par with Jackson. Only good thing he had was his golden head. I'm not putting my trust on him.

If you had asked me one year ago if I thought he was more likely to outlast Chilwell in the club, I would've laughed in your face.

Never, ur only saying that because he's made out of glass it's like me saying Gallagher > thiago because he's made out of glass too. Need to stop with the bias attribute for attribute RJ has everything over him. Bradley played like 7/8 games and most in cup or Europa league gamesatleast give him a full season, RJ has done way more for you to compete Bradley to him. RJ at 21/22 was a ucl winner and that too pocketing many great wingers.

1 bad peformance doesnt mean hes shit
avatar
Bro wtf is wrong with the Chelsea medical team man🥲 Just hope he will find form before the Euro's eventually
avatar
58 but okay…
avatar
I swear Chelsea have the worst medical team ever. Players just keep getting injured, come back, and then injured again shortly after
avatar
How has he flopped you fucking muppet? He’s been injured.
avatar
And yet you guys wanted him.
avatar
Idc who we play as a striker I beg poch dosent play Palmer out of position just to play him as the striker if he does that we automatically lost, Palmer best position is behind the striker or the rw just don't mess it up.
avatar
Man, seems we have the worst medical staff even though boehly installed a complete new medical team over the past 2 years. Nearly everyone from the former staff got fired. #BoehlyEffect
avatar
I didn't know bro existed
avatar
This isn't anything new to Chelsea from Boehly. They've always used academy players to balance the books, whether it was loaning them for 8 years or selling them. Broja hasn't established himself and he turns 23 over the summer, getting €50m back for him would be one of the smartest things they've done in a while.
avatar
His links to us cannot be serious. They want us to riot or what?
avatar
He was one of our best players before his injuries though. I doubt he will ever go back to that form but there was a time when he carried our team along with RJ. Either way he was still much better than our two other options (Alonso & Emerson)
avatar
You do have a point though, I think Spurs spent good money on players like Vicario, Udogie, and Maddison and they got those players for not too high of a fee. Meanwhile we've spent money on Lavia (who's still injured and hasn't played a single game yet), Nkunku (injury prone), and dare should I say Wesley Fofana, the king of them all. Even for Caicedo and Enzo honestly we've overpaid like hell. Not to mention 50 mil for Cucurella, 40 mil for Koulibaly, etc. Just super bad negotiations and desperation from the club these past few years.
avatar
Matters who is injured though. Their key players like Son and Romero are not prone to injuries. Manages to play most of the games and makes good impact on the games they play in. Our key players are (RJ, Chilwell, Nkunku, etc.) injury prone. Literally not playing at all for months. Makes no impact.
avatar
Can't blame Poch when all of our key players are out. All the other managers (Potter, Tuchel, Lampard) had RJ and Chilwell available at some point. Not to mention back then we still had an experienced midfield of Kante and Kovacic too. Without our key players like Nkunku and our two fullbacks we literally have a mid table team full of youngsters. Not much Poch can do when he has to choose between Jackson and Broja as ST.
avatar
Theyve also had Son upfront, compared to Jackson and Broja lol. Theyve also Maddison and Lo Celso. Meanwhile we've had both Nkunku and Carney only just return and had to have Gallagher of all people as a 10.... Theyve had Udogie all season other than his red card VS us. Meanwhile we've lost Chilwell nearly half the season, Cucurella for 3 ish months and are playing COLWILL at LB. What im saying is, we have the squad (except the striker), but injuries and Botchettino have screwed us.
avatar
Phillips yes, he has been given +3 growth, but that still doesn't make sense. But Maignan is a GK and Martinez Quarta and Valjent are defenders, and players who play in those positions usually have longer careers than forwards or centre mids, that is why they rightly have been given +3 growth. Also my issue is with giving +3 growth for a centre midfielder, not for a defender or centre back
avatar
I don't understand why so many of you don't understand, he is 27 ffs, EA never gives +3 growth to a 27 year old midfielder, I don't care how good he is. EA just doesn't rate players that way. The max they give a 27 yr old midfielder is a +1 growth. So stop asking for +3 growth, it's never ever gonna happen...

its great to see more are now, and that England's two best players are playing abroad. IMO Kane and Bellingham made the perfect moves for them. I was so happy when Kane decided to go to Bayern as I genuinely thought he'd be content to stay at Spurs for the rest of his career regardless of what was going on there. He's gonna play less games a year, in an easier league, still bag like 40 goals a season and compete in the CL every year while hes there. And Bellingham is now at the biggest club in the world, seems made for it even at his young age, and I hope he stays there for the rest of his career and doesn't come back to England. Sancho should have done the same, stay away from England.

My boy ruben finally has 80+ ss they realized that way too late but he still needs higher acceleration and dribbling
avatar
Apart from Real Madrid, what big European team has constantly bought players directly from the Brazilian football pyramid, in the last 5 years? Meanwhile, nowadays every half-decent team has someone they signed directly from Ligue 1.
avatar
You know what's so funny? Many top teams in the world get more of their players from Ligue 1 than from Brazil nowadays. Clearly, his high potential is getting on your nerves for no good reason.
avatar
I agree mostly but there is one thing I think should be added. Neymar's "type" is a dying breed on the top level of football. There is just not enough time and space to do fancy tricks anymore. Plus players who have that incredible flexibility in their leg to do the tricks, tend to be more injury prone (which, with the increased speed and match load of the game, results in more injuries). So EA is in a difficult space game design wise. Of course they want to have 5* players as they are more attractive to players (and more fun to play with) but players on the top level don't do 5* skills anymore. So they can either be realistic and get rid of the fun players or be unrealistic and keep them. And since FIFA/EA sports FC is an arcade game, the latter choice makes more sense from their POV.

Still should be 73-74 ovr minimum

Hear me out; I love Galladawg. Twrust me, I do, but take him out and put Nkunku in. Line up: --------Sanchez James Silva Colwill Cucu -----Caicedo Enzo -Palmer Nkunku Sterling --------Jackson Pro's Goals, direct and quicker build-up, balloon celebrations Con's Less press, less intensity, less creativity, no xl bully that has a man bun

https://s3a.sofifa.net/dc76fd20ed261c6d6eb6fc8c76fbf13a054d3b57.jpg He can’t keep getting away with it… enjoy!
avatar
He kind of was inverted at times except higher up the field, arriving into the box. The modern day inverted wing back comes into midfield, I don't think that would have suited him as well when he was a goal threat up the field. I'd imagine it would suit him better now tho since he would be closer to declining than his prime.
avatar
How many points would you be happy Chelsea finishes on? My prediction is 65 points. 50 points in 27 games. +21 points from last season. Going by previous seasons, the points tally equated to finishing as high as 6th and as low as 8th. To get 65 points Chelsea need to average 1.85 points per game For Context: (Potch averaged 1.89 points per game with his Spurs side.) Our start to the season has been poor, and this has given me a reality check. We are in process, and it is going to take several seasons to compete, no matter who we sign in January, who comes back from injury, or how fast we begin to click. I think the best thing to do this season is to focus on the cup competitions. The fans are used to winning, not going through a process. So any cup gives the fan a boost, more time for Potch, and less scrutiny towards the owners.
avatar
Their potentials should still be higher though. Cole Palmer at any other EPL club would have had 86 potential by now, him having 82 potential is crazy. Then you have youngsters from the Belgian league that have like 88 potential when most of them are going to end up like Bakkali
avatar
It's mostly younger players so it's not surprising EA underrates them
avatar
Not in a same way as those other players, but compared to regular keepers, he's starting to become one. 21/22 missed 9 games because of an injury, and 22/23 missed 23 games because of two injuries. It's not much, but keepers aren't as prone to injuries in general.
avatar
usually he can beat his man but that game idk it was real bad I'll give him a pass tho as he just got back from an injury and probably wasn't fully fit

21st century Ruud Gullit, or just another player plagued by injuries this is what ive compiled about reece James: - A player who can seemly perform in any position across the pitch and can perform any role, this was a result of more of a sideways progression in his days at the academy, he started out as an attacker, playing every role in the final third then was moved to right back and sometimes played as a center-back in the PL2, he played as a defensive midfielder in his loan spell at wigan Athletic too, despite being experienced in all these positions and having a knack on how to perform in each of them, he lacks the definitive traits in what makes a defender, midfielder and attacker what there are. - as a defender he has the physicality to get the ball off his opponents, the pace and tackling ability to challenge pacy wingers and the defensive awareness to be at the right place at the right time, during crossing situations or set pieces but not someone you can rely on in a defensive duo, he is too impatient on the ball and would rather drive forward to start the offensive, situations like this can go 50/50 whoever he passes it will get dispossessed as his passing is predictable but can use his pace to get back to position to stop the counter, if it goes wrong he will leave his partner and the keeper exposed, he can be a RCB in a back 3 though, giving the right fullback enough space to push forward more. - as a right back, when fit he is probably one of the most reliable ones in the world, with his accurate crossing he can average around 10 assists a season with guys who have a killer header or elite positional awareness in front of goal, guys like Toney, Mbappe, Kolo Muani, Haaland can destroy defenses with Reece James as their right back, he is also reliable in an inverted role too when it comes to relieving the pressure off of his midfielders from opponents, he is not the best presser in midfield so he is rather someone who can cover for others who attempt to run in behind or act as a wall pass making a 2v2 a 3v2 and a 3v3 a 4v3 midfield battle. - as a midfielder, I'd say he is average for first-division football standards 2nd division is where he can shine the most, but he doesnt have the composure to keep possession like an average 6, and his passing is below average whereas he would aimlessly hoff it to fend off possession but isnt capable of starting counters from deep, he is a capable 6 in dire situations where Chelsea's 6s are injured but can he be a b2b 8? not really. - as a winger this would be his secondary position, he can be the playmaker type, the type who can make chances out wide with his crossing, and has the pace and technicality to bulldoze past his opponents, he is clinical in front of goal as well composed when he takes his shots and is very dangerous with space in front being able to hit a shot on target at the near post, but he isn't someone who can handle himself well in tight spaces, at best he is effective on the counter against one or two guys chasing him but will struggle to maneuver his way past a back 4. he is still young at 23 years of age with no apparent weaknesses in the current position he plays, at his peak if he continues to work on his versatility he might be the best utility player on the planet being able to fit in at defense as a center-back at midfield as a defensive midfielder and attack as a winger, overall he is an 85 at his peak as a right back he is a 88, 91 if he works on his versatility.
avatar
Injury Prone but deffo still deserves more potential 84/88
avatar
Beginning of fifa 23 his potential was 74 and he reached that rating in the same fifa. His potential now is 81 and honestly, I wouldn’t be surprised it would be his rating at the end of EAFC24 or even more.
avatar
I don't think you have seen many matches from Osimhen to say that. He said himself that his technique is not great. Man can destroy goals, but is not exactly the most gifted player on earth. He relies a lot on instict, speed and strenght, not great on passing, vision and dribbling. Boniface is 100% much more gifted technique wise
avatar
Which is 5 years ago, that doesn't mean that's what suits him now. He'd struggle to do the same job now, he's a natural goalscorer, the closest thing to Haaland there is. Would Guardiola ever ask Haaland to play behind another n. 9?
avatar
Some clubs do have far too much money, but to be fair the money teams are paid for competing in the Premier League via prize money, equal share, TV rights etc is probably more even than the Bundesliga, or maybe about the same amount. It's why you saw teams like my club (Fulham) spending like £100m when we returned to the PL for the first time. There is undoubtedly a lot of problems and corruption though, and I do like the German club football model and culture a bit better, but I don't think the PL is quite as bad as you say.
avatar
That's a good thing btw

For the B team ?? This kid is way too good for the B team

he's also a DM, you could try using your brain
avatar
lol the statheads are at it again

Imagine him and Upamecano in the same defense.
avatar
Nice to see him getting revenge on the basement dwellers that bullied him age 17
avatar
Yeah, I mentioned this earlier. We're bringing on players like Ziyech when we're chasing a game that was winnable. It makes no sense. He's giving game time to people who won't be here in 6 months, instead of investing in the young talent we're blessed with. He should've made sure Ziyech and Aubameyang left in January.
avatar
He looks like our best player. Hopefully we can sign him permanently if he carries on like this. Plays with fire and passion.
avatar
sell Havertz, Ziyech, Pulisic, maybe Gallagher, maybe Mount, maybe Koulibaly, maybe Cucurella...... we could get hella funds on player sales if we want / need to Félix is genuinely a world class player we can't let him leave man, there's only so many of those guys out there
avatar
Yeah, just needs to reset, regain his composure and focus more. He's been used in a utility role for so long too, and not played in one position. I personally think we should keep him, but I don't think he'll be first choice long-term. For Liverpool under Klopp, he'd play as an attacking 8 (providing Klopp aims to go with a 433 once everyone's fit), providing goal threat from deep. Would fit Liverpool's high pressing style very well IMO. Could see a midfield of Fabinho, Thiago, Mount being world class. Perfectly balanced.
avatar
idk im pretty happy about our january signings, sooner or later this squad gonna win some stuff bc its getting tasty
