Auckland City will still exist like they do now, like every other football club in Auckland. Auckland FC will play in the Australian A-League and will only field a youth team in the New Zealand league system like what the Wellington Phoenix do. Auckland City will continue to be one of the more dominant sides in the New Zealand league and the Oceania Champions League. Like with the Phoenix, Auckland FC won't be able to compete in the Oceania Champions League as the A-League is an AFC competition.

We can't replace Thiago Silva no matter who we bring in. Absolutely top tier experience within the game that will be sorely missed the minute he leaves. His technical, tactical and mental ability is still brilliant. Just a shame age has finally caught up with him physically. A true leader. A true captain. A Chelsea legend. O Monstro 💙💙💙💙💙

Not probably, for sure

Downgrade?! What! Are EA or drugs or something
avatar
He’s having a better season than Mbappe and Haaland 81/89
avatar
WTF. NONSENSE. 86/89, his actual rating is better than Fifa's potential. What a joke
avatar
Dortmund was the best move no doubt, I’d argue Leipzig would’ve been an even better move, but at United he wouldn’t have got a lot of service, we’re lacking more creativity than anything. Good luck to Haland and Dortmund, a club that I have a soft spot for and it’s never good to see failed prospects.
avatar
His TOTS card will be lit
avatar
Bro has been HIM this season. United would be stupid not to bring him back purely on an ability standpoint. Incredible player, genuinely a generational talent still.

And you clearly should stick to baseball

Jackson is such a confusing player. Misses sitters, scores difficult ones.

Mad to think for the 1st time in A-League history a New Zealand side will win the league or at least the Premiership plate. I can imagine some debates whether Wellington play in the Asian Champions League or remain in Oceania. But with Aukland coming in and the Nix doing so well this season, it looks like New Zealand football is at an all time high.
avatar
liverpool fans can laugh all they want but i wont accept slander from any team based in london. chelsea are still and will always be the biggest club in london.

Legit praying Pochettino doesn't screw this XI up. (For me) Petrovic, Gusto, Disasi, Colwill, Chilwell, Enzo, Caicedo, Palmer, Nkunku, Sterling, Jackson. Gallagher, Mudryk, Madueke and whoever else off the bench. Gallagher in particular to press them like mad 2nd half and force mistakes. He could be key if used like that late on.
avatar
We are going to win today..believe. The players are gonna get this win for the fans and their coach thats deserve for going through what theyve gone through this season alone. COME ON YOU BLUES 🔵

For any new fan of the league or someone who wants to know more about the A-League I wrote this summary on all the teams. Please note I wrote this on the 17th of January so the table positions are inaccurate. Wellington Phoenix are the only current team from New Zealand but there was a defunct team that used to be in the A-League from New Zealand as well as a new one joining next season along with a Canberra team. They haven’t won a single trophy but are currently in 1st place. Could this be the year the finally win something? They have a rivalry with Perth Glory. Central Coast Mariners are the reigning champions of the league and are probably the best club at producing young talent. They are based in the coastal beaches of northern New South Wales. They have won 2 championships but for a while were one of the worst teams in the league before they changed their philosophy and turned it around impressively. They have the most beautiful stadium in the league and arguably in he world. They are 4th. Macarthur FC who are the newest team in the league and have the smallest fanbase. This is their 4th season of existence and they’ve won 1 trophy (more than Spurs). They’re based in South-West Sydney. They’re currently 7th in the league. My club is Sydney FC, one of the original clubs. We’re the biggest club in the country and we’ve won the most trophies and have had the best single season to date winning the double and were one game off an invincible season. The 16/17 season remains the highest points tally to date. We’ve got arguably the biggest fanbase in the A-League but that is often debated with Melbourne Victory supporters. We’re based in Sydney in the East and Northern suburbs and cities. We’ve started the season poorly and we’re 9th. Adelaide United is one of 3 clubs in the A-League that existed before the league started. They’re known for being arguably the best club at producing young talent which is often debated with Central Coast Mariners. They have a solid fanbase and fill up their stadium regularly. They are the only club in South Australia based in the states capital city of Adelaide. They’re currently 5th in the A-League. Western United are the 2nd newest team and this is their 5th season. They were A-League champions in 2022. They are based in West Victoria. They have an ageing squad and are currently bottom of the league in 12th place. Brisbane Roar are the only team in Queensland however there were 2 teams that used to be in the A-League based in Queensland that are now defunct however one of them still exists in Queensland’s 2nd tier. They were once one of the most feared teams in Australia with Ange Postecoglou as their head coach. However the last 4-5 years have been very disappointing and they have been floating around the bottom places in the table. This season they started well but their coach left on Christmas eve and they have fallen off once again. They have one of the stronger fanbases in the league. They are currently 8th in the A-League. Melbourne City (formerly known as Melbourne Heart) are one of 3 Victorian teams in the A-League and have been particularly dominant in the last few seasons. They often with the premiership but choke in the finals losing 6-1 in last seasons grand final. This season however, they have been disappointing and are currently 6th. They have a good fanbase but are outvoiced by Melbourne Victory fans. Perth Glory is the oldest club in the A-League and the only team in Western Australia. They won a lot of trophies before the A-League started but in the A-League they’ve won only 1 premiership and are yet to win a championship. The last 5 years they’ve had financial problems and have been in the bottom places in the A-League. They are currently 2nd last in 11th place. Newcastle Jets (formerly known as Newcastle United) are 1 of 3 clubs that existed before the A-League. They are based in Northern New South Wales. They have only won a single trophy being champions in 2008 after a Grand Final in over their rivals Central Coast Mariners. They are 10th place. Melbourne Victory is a club based in Victoria. They have arguably the biggest fanbase in the league. They have rivalries with Sydney FC, Melbourne City and Adelaide United. They’ve won 3 premierships and 2 championships. Recently they have been ip and down in the last couple of seasons either nearly winning it or finishing near the bottom. Currently this season they are unbeaten and are 2nd place. Western Sydney Wanderers are based in the Western Suburbs of Sydney and have been in the A-League for over 10 years. In the A-League they’ve won nothing but they are the only club in Australia to have won an Asian Champions League. They have one of the best fanbases in the league. Last season they broke the drought of choking finals football but were knocked out by us in a Sydney derby defeat at home. They are currently 3rd.

If stoppage time was just a little bit shorter we would be going through
avatar
A big prospect. One for the future, this guy is going places
avatar
New Zealand clubs always used to get a spot into the Club World Cup and get destroyed most times due to the OFC Champions League being insanely easy for them to win every year.

UP THA CHELS

Hey KaappaKap1? You still want THIS GUY instead of getting Karim Benzema? Cant even trap a simple ball in training!!!!! https://twitter.com/CFCDUBois/status/1748728522313474376?t=rIVWgDhw8mwlc2-BgK05NQ&s=19

The whole defence searched up Cheteshwar Pujara highlights before our game against you and parked the bus
avatar
Get Osimhen next season and Benzema loan this season

Forgot to say, as much as I hate your country and your people, that defence was class, we should've won 5-0, the passion from that bloke with the beard and the headband after he got injured was unmatched, keep it up against Syria and Uzbek, probably won't win, but defo a possibility of drawing
avatar
I swear you guys were trying to shoot from halfway and your goalkeeper even tried his luck
avatar
In the 1st half you defended really well but it was too much pressure to maintain your defence position for the full 90 minutes.
avatar
Most embarassing campaign by any Indian club at AFC Cup, no doubt.
avatar
no hope only hype

Good. He need to go and find his confidence and swagger again.

oh boy, such a talented young player i wonder what kind of comments people left on his sofifa page

Nothing to say really, a battering against the Asian heavyweights was expected but the result has really exposed the level-of-play and the intensity of the ISL, but to contain them to a solitary goal till 70 mins, is commendable with Apuia going neck-to-neck with Ruben Neves and Milinkovic-Savic. Feels like we have got a gem for the Nat. team only if Stimac utilizes him leaving behind his rift with Apuia.
avatar
We dominated you, but we couldnt finish our chances. Fair play though👏👏

When Nkunku returns I have reason to believe he will carry us
