Depends what you expect from a full back, he is pretty good going forward and ass defensively. Also not that technical. Average crossing. Lots of stamina though. I like full backs that can play as an extra midfielder, he is definitely not capable of doing that. Hence why I don't want him to join. But that's just from my perspective. He can bomb down the wing pretty well, kinda similar to Dumfries imo. Both were in the amateur leagues at like 18/19.

Unfortunately not that good physically for a striker, not fast enough to outpace defenders, nor tall or strong enough to win headers that much. Our attack is at his best when he's in form tho.

They defend in a back 4 with stones going into CB next to Dias. Ake and Akanji take the role of full backs when out of possession. With the ball Stones moves up into a midfield role alongside Rodri, with Ake and Akanji tucking in to form a back 3. It’s a genius way of overloading the midfield and allowing KDB and Gundogan freedom to roam and create. So, Stones is a kind of mix of the two positions, he has to be very intelligent and comfortable on the ball to do this right, 2 things we know he excels at. It’s just remarkable management from Pep tbh. The easiest way to understand it is thinking of it as his usual 433, which it is out of possession anyway, but with an extra body in midfield when in transition to dominate possession (Stones)
