I've seen some of the smoke he's been receiving online. And everyone is entitled to voice their opinion. But for a player in their prime age to have rejected Liverpool, Bayern, Arsenal and Barca... means he's rejected a chance to triple or quadruple his salary and also rejected Champions League football. As hard as it is, I believe people should try their best to think about why somebody would refuse that. Because it can only be for very serious reasons. My suspicion is that it's either to do with the health of a close relative (child) or his own mental health for which we don't know what condition it's in. Lets grant some grace. He's not publicly shown us any disrespect. And he's not rejected us for a different transfer. He's humbly carried on with the same salary. It's Liverpool and Hughes who were naive to not prepare any alternatives this summer.

I honestly can’t see any cons to this Chiesa signing. Chiesa comes in with a reputation and trophies to his name. He is still only 26 years old, and has a lot to prove. Some may say Chiesa is very injury prone, but his injury record has been steadily improving since he suffered that horrible injury years ago. With the amount of attacking talent we have, Slot should not have a difficult time managing Chiesa’s fitness. If we can keep him fit, we’re talking about a potential starting player. I’ve watched him for Juve many times over the years, and he’s always been a standout player, even under a terrorist like Allegri. He’s still quick, good on the dribble, and his finishing is better than the likes of Diaz, in my opinion. I think people see this as a “Shaqiri” signing, but I think he has potential to be so much more than that. I see no reason why we shouldn’t be getting hyped about this signing.

idk by the meltdown of some about chiesa for the estimated price i think he is a great option to have in attack if the guy agrees to be a sub here no problem he reminds me a lot of the takumi/shaquiri signing a player that doesn't improve our starting team but improves our bench obviously he is not kvara or leao but he will be something different to have on the bench this season he is still fast,skilful and has good finishing and many forget he played under a terrorist for these years which is fucking allegri 🤦. we have to be positive about this signing and hopefully 1 or 2 more will come.

Harvey deserves it, and Szobo would IMO thrive on left wing in our system. In his heat maps he was usually close to sideline at Leipzig. He will have more space there, which would suit him - first half he was tightly marked and was invisible, second half we were more fluid and he immediately began to shine. He got the thinking, the space he needs, and the skills + physical attributes (actually rapid speed) to thrive there

Very happy about the Mamardashvili transfer. Great business to negotiate a £25m deal for a goalkeeper that seems to be destined for the very top. I reckon Jaros takes over for Kel next summer, and Mamardashvili takes over for Ali in 2025. £20m for Sepp is also a good fee. Decent player, but I don’t think he was ever going to break through here. I’m hoping Gomez doesn’t leave this late in the window, especially with the options available on the market. Reports did only suggest that Gomez was reviewing his squad role and whether he could get more minutes as a center half, not necessarily that he had made up his mind on leaving the club. As far as replacements go, I rate Guehi, but wouldn’t spend a penny over £40-50m for him. Hincapie is overrated and not good enough. Colwill and Branthwaite could be very solid options, although the least attainable of the bunch.
