LOL 😂 that's crazy, i told you before that a club like Newcastle deserved this takeover a great club has real fans and rich history since the 90s i think there was a season you finished runners up to us by low points and also the fa cup final in 1999 you always came close and always were in the fight i think when Mike Ashley came things starting going downhill from always being there to becoming less and less that team of the 90s and with a miracle appear like a top team for a season but then go down again shit ownership did this along with others factors of course but the main reason was Ashley who made a consistent threat to the PL and always coming close just needed something and would have been a club with multiple champions to a shell of that club and team of the 90s so for that you deserved this takeover people who say you don't deserve this are casuals who don't know anything and my temper always boil when i see this kind of people especially when not having the full background.

Considering that JDT called up 5 of the U21 squad to the A-team after the squad selection, I can imagine that Gigovic would have been one of them if he had stayed with Swedens NT over the summer.
avatar
I don't think Barça could afford the 30m we ask for him, but a Prem team like Newcastle or Arsenal should buy him without any doubt
avatar
One of those weird players who are shit at club level but always turn up for their national team
avatar
Hoppas många av våra debutanter får speltid de kommande matcherna!🇸🇪
avatar
streets never forget him on the shit newcastle
avatar
Considering Isi Palazón is 82/82, I think Ayoze should be at that level too. (And Isi should be downgraded btw) 82/82
avatar
The problem is, we won't get level of fee. Given his age. No doubt on his quality, but doubt we'd get a ton for a almost 34 year old. Unless someone like Bayern come back in for him. I'd rather let go likes of Targett, Wilson, and Miggy over him any day for this Summer don't get me wrong, Trips would be on a list of those I'd keep for sure. But do feel at some point, we've gotta work on that, and understand that Trips is getting older. Which, not saying to sell, not at all. More I do wonder how long we'll get out of Trips. I'm hoping Harrison gets a shot in pre season, and can make it in the first team.
avatar
He will get a better rating next year I believe. ....and Patino tbh does not deserve to have 85pot for now I think. Arsenal should get him back into their first team and let him learn from Jorginho and Rice
avatar
And i will never forget the Capital One Cup final vs you the crowd were amazing the whole game the fanbase that Newcastle has is no bullshit they fucking love this club and will give there all even after the final loss they still were supporting and chanting this fans are real no fake bullshit once you go to watch your team you give your all the fans are the engine of the team they give you this extra thing.
avatar
I saw people saying Trippier leaving allows Tino to be our starting RB and its good for our future. I agree in some way, but their playstyle is so different.
avatar
It's a hard one. Cause we've shown we can go without him. But he's quite the leader in the dressing room, and a key player to have in the ranks. I think it really comes down to the fee. As I wouldn't sell him too cheap, as doubt we'd get big money for him, given his age. But I suppose it depends what else we do. Trips could stay, and we could get rid of likes of Miggy, Targett, or Wilson instead.
avatar
we saw the joe/bruno/sandro midfield in the beginning of the season and it wasn't working until sandro was dropped for longstaff
avatar
A midfield of Joelinton + Bruno G + Tonali, Willock/Anderson/Longstaff/Miley as backups🥹🥹
avatar
Sad that Tonali got banned lol Bro would rule the midfield

Hate that I can't trust a Fab tweet with here we go when it comes to us, cause I still have flash backs to Joao Pedro, who seemed ready to go, only for it to NOT be the case. But yay, Kelly coming soon.
avatar
It all depends on Pope's long term. I know he can come back, and he's an incredible keeper. Gill's more than happy to be our third wheel. Pope for sure will get the pre season, so he may get himself back for match sharpness at least. The other factor in this, is if we're supposedly 'unable to spend much money' putting £40mill on a keeper, a position arguably, we may not need, is a bit sus.
avatar
The money is fantastic! The quality and designs of adidas are even better!
avatar
Watching England today had me seeing why Howe is such a big fan of Gallagher, given his work rate and ability to press.
avatar
Indeed. As you’ve said before our owners are shrewd and won’t get taken for a ride, while we also have a gaffer who prefers English players and/or players with Prem experience, for better or worse. Perhaps lessons learned from the deals made previously, like Barnes. Hopefully this will turn out to be a massive window for us 🤞
avatar
Sometimes i dont understand these directors. After all the mistakes and failures..why havr we given this coach a whole 5 years contract?? Especiaññy someone that is barely proven in his career to date? Why we never learn our lesson?
avatar
Despite some bumps in the road our project is progressing, taking us out of the doldrums that was the Ashley era. Our new deal with Adidas will bring in 30m/yr., up from just 5m/yr. we were getting from Castore. Putting it in perspective, it’s level where Spurs are but still well behind what City or Arsenal are getting from their merch deals (60m+/yr.). Sela on the shirt gets us 6m more a season than what Fun88 did, and noon on the sleeve gets us 5.5m more than Kayak (Chronicle). Rome wasn’t built in a day: fact is we are moving in the right direction and as fans need to be a little patient as our club continues to grow and prosper. HWTL 💪
avatar
Isn’t that about £35m? That sounds about right, but I thought it wasn’t enough. Personally I don’t like spending so much on a keeper this window, unless there’s genuine concern about Pope’s fitness. Hopefully this is a scheme to run up the price Chelsea pay and we go for someone else
avatar
As you said our owners prefer doing these things quietly. I’m so sick and tired of us getting taken for rides every other day regarding transfer “news” 😡
avatar
Supposedly Chelsea are about to “steal” Mamardashvili from us as well…maybe this is a “head fake” on our part so we then can swoop in for Valles
avatar
avatar
It's their bread and butter tbh. Certain big clubs, I say certain, cause Man U's transfer deals lmao. Hell minus an odd season at times, Spurs really don't have a good track record of sales. Meanwhile a club like Chelsea will hoard a ton of talent like always, and if some don't make the grade, will either make money back, or a profit. Something we can hardly do, given our assets are either worth jack shit, or the ones that are, we want to keep.
avatar
Perhaps Staveley needs to put you on the payroll 😊
avatar
A player that I always rate highly in Career modes is Silva from Benfica, yes he is young and will be inexperienced compared to T. Silva, but he’ll be a good addition to our team because he has the pace to defend well and even could come up and assist our offense.
avatar
He could be in the rotation if they sell Chalobah, which would be pure profit for them. A soulless club they’ve become, with FFP making it even worse. Won’t be long and people will lose interest and Euro football will become what boxing is in the USA
avatar
Enjoy the loan to Vitesse Tosin!
avatar
Looks like we may go in for Huijsen but I’m not sure if he’s ready yet for EPL yet
avatar
Yep it doesn't improve Chelsea at all especially after Thiago leaving they need someone who can add to the team while Tosin like you implied is just in the same bracket and 160k ? My God that's really crazy his agent did a great job securing him that deal. I wanted him cause obviously we have 2 defenders minimum leaving also Tosin i think would helped us in that English homegrown criteria. While Newcastle needed backup and players for the rotation cause there is no quality depth in that position and your captain got a serious injury also Krafth ain't it and when Fabian gets injured it becomes a massive problem so Kelly and 1 more is a must and that other one should be a quality player.
avatar
An example of why patience is needed while we're building. Wage bill is the single biggest indicator of success, Chelsea can pay their squad players what our first teamers are making. That's the gap that has to be bridged, very difficult.
avatar
Where the hell did that came from lol thought it's either us or you and from the looks of things it was you who were closer to getting his signature but Chelsea just came out of the blue and got him really how many players do they want especially in the centerback position they have like 8-10 players there while we both are lacking in that position
avatar
Why does he have the "Trivela" trait, makes no sense?
avatar
Man sounds just like Isak lol
avatar
He chose money over passion
avatar
Didn't help our case that Chelsea could not only offer Europe, but also since his previous club was Fulham, he was already more likely living in London to boot. Which would've made it easier for him. Which makes me think that could've been part of the stalling of the deal, and soon as that was the case, and Chelsea swooped in, seemed pretty clear sadly. If it weren't for us getting Kelly, I'd be upset, but once Kelly is through the door, that'll least add some depth of cover. Honestly, Fab can be annoying at times, I still remember him saying us signing Pedro, all done and dusted. Only for that to not be the case.
avatar
That would be the best signing of the window for you guys
avatar
Chadi Riad signed as a replacement for Tompkins. Maxence Lacroix is rumored to be a replacement for Guehi if he’s sold. Other players that have been linked: Seny Dieng, Ben Johnson, Willian Pacho, Danilho Doekhi, Jacob Greaves, Ronnie Edwards, Moussa Niakhate, Juan Miranda, Sofyan Amrabat, Raphael Onyedika, Wilfred Ndidi, Batista Mendy, Jordan James, Josh Brownhill, Gabriel Sara, Hamed Traore, Archie Brown, Raheem Sterling (can only see it if Olise/Eze sold and even then I think they’d be replaced with a younger player), Jonathan Rowe, Jaden Philogene, Filip Kostic, Merlin Rohl, Matias Soule, Emile Smith Rowe, Ademola Lookman, Tammy Abraham, Eddie Nketiah, Armando Broja, Thierno Barry, Oumar Diakite.
avatar
Oh so same. Though if we actually lose Dubs, and go for Trafford. Might not work out for a young keeper there. Unless we lose Pope in a few years.
avatar
Yep, precisely how I feel. It’s insane to say it but if you are 20/21 and not out of the academy yet, your future isn’t super bright. That’s how it is these days. Where we are as a club, it’s time to transition from “they are good lads” to “production first”
avatar
We desperately need to improve here. You’d think having Bruno and Joelinton would open the director’s eyes to what South American talent can bring to our team, but apparently not. Maybe we just aren’t well known over there yet? Or Brighton and West Ham have been focusing the region for much longer. Either way, has to change
avatar
Mark Gill becoming our Scott Carson haha. Not too bothered by it, since before all this, the thought of too many keepers leaving, good to know we last got two at the moments in Pope and Gill. As still unsure on what'll happen with Dubs.
avatar
Lucas De Bolle was released today by the club along with 12 other academy players. I remember when De Bolle was supposed to be what Miley is. Love that the club is being ruthless all around
avatar
i would like to think we can get some sort of fee for lewis and ashby, the rest will probably have to be free transfers
avatar
I believe that QPR would like to have Hayden but I’m not sure what they could pay for him
avatar
good point yeah we have Colwill, Chalobah, Fofana, Disasi, Badiashile, Gilchrist and Humphreys we have plenty of options, just not an elite one in terms of team building, Tosin doesnt really make sense for Chelsea, we dont lack in depth
avatar
Ayyyeee. Good stuff. I do kind laugh at the post giving props to Hendrick, but it was nice at least lol. But right choice to move Dummett, and Ritchie on.((We prob knew Karius was going tbh)) In general it's a bit of a shame, but it had to be done. They had to be moved on, and should've never even been considered to be kept on. I'll wish them well. Dummett could've been a solid PL player, but couldn't even get fit. If Wilson was made of glass, then I'm not sure what Dummett is made of honestly. But he's been with us for many, many years, and while he's past being in the PL. Best of luck to him. As for Ritchie, well. Leas the corner flags will be fine now lol. But man, I have nothing but respect for him. He came to us, when he could've stayed in the PL. He helped us back up, and honestly, was even still solid up to a point back then. While it was clear, the club have really advanced forward, and he's aged, so that it was time to move on, but nothing but respect for him.
avatar
I think if the fee for Trafford is low enough, we'll take him and keep Pope as first choice. I think it's a risk as he already didn't like diving to his left and now that he hurt that shoulder a 2nd time it could get worse. Trafford had an awful season but is very young. Has a chance of fucking another season but can we even afford Mamardashvili and then go big on a RW?
avatar
Should have been called instead of Raya or Remiro
avatar
Hope he joins you lot!
avatar
He’s coming to the real united 🖤🤍
avatar
Good point, swap svanberg and dejan But i still think hien is better centrally, as he isnt so good on the and is more of a tank in defence
avatar
Well my father was very lucky to see Alan Sherear and Ginola together, he also saw the worst, but this last decade his favorite players were Gutierrez (he wanted this one for River Plate), Trippier, Yedlin, Cabaye, and lastly and Not least Ben Arfa, well the latter did something to my father that I had never seen, when Hatem was on the field something incredible was going to happen, I watched Newcastle with him at that time every morning, Ben Arfa did feats like that of beating my older brother alone, 8 to 1 in FIFA, that's why I will always carry this club with me, for making me feel like the best player in the world with it. inter well at least with inzaghi who has improved a lot and with marotta they are a machine, i hope with oaktree we can make 2 or 3 steps to the right side, the good thing about the banter era was when he finished, the good thing about that was that handanovic was Captain. That it
avatar
Holm is a good express train on the right, and with Hjalmar Ekdal behind him he can go on offensive trips without having to worry about the cover behind him
avatar
It’s a steal imo, if Caicedo is worth 120m
avatar
It's never not been toxic for me tbh. Like sure, there is a few good eggs in there. But a lot are very reactionary, and unless they get what they want, they throw a hissy fit. Reminds me of the dark days, where we'd lose a game, and then suddenly it was the end of the world like lmao.
