When you have two starters already the third GK should be an experienced player like Sirigu who can compact the group and give experience as he did in 2021. Bonaventura is a player which I never really appreciated much. With this I ain't saying he's bad, but he's always been a player that doesn't give me guarantees on his performances. Also when considering the players Spalletti brought to the EURO Frattesi, Barella, Pellegrini, Fagioli, and Folorunsho, I think they are slightly better than Bonaventura. The only player for which I'd swap him for is Cristante but unfortunately I don't think Bonaventura is a good CDM. Biraghi I just don't rate him with all due respect. I think that players being "robbed" or that could have been called were: Politano, Colpani, Grifo (12 goals and 10 assists with Freiburg this season and he could have been a jolly playing both LW, LM, and occasionally even LB), Sigiru (as I mentioned before why), Orsolini, and Ruggieri.

It's farewell not an exit interview where someone's contribution is assessed. Simone could probably think Buchanan is not good enough in defence and in building-up play, so he's maybe trying to adapt him to the left, so when we need some speed and dribling he can put an attacking LWB with inverted foot. Just trying to get attacking help from him and decline from him every responsability in every other trait. That's the only reason I can think of. ps: let's also consider that Inzaghi probably wants to win them all to get Inter record of points of all time.
