I'm hoping this is a joke? Joe is one of the countries brightest talents. He turned 18 just before the summer and played most games with the club in the season as a very important player for us. Out performed Behan in literally every metric and is 4 years younger. I rate Behan but he's just no where near as good as Joe. Joe scored 4 goals and was our 2nd highest scorer in the league last season. Behan had 2 goals while playing a lot more minutes
avatar
Looks like we're starting to get our form together now. 6 games unbeaten and 14 points out of a possible 18 including wins against high flying Leeds and Hull. Up to the players now to put in the hard work and somehow try and close down Ipswich and Leicester - very difficult ask, but it's not impossible. Best player of the season so far: Walker-peters Most improved player: Bazunu Best signing: Downes Only positivity. Onto the next game. Hopefully this squad will see an update soon that will upload the real starting 11

So far so good mate. Keep an eye on us this season, we've had a phenomenal transfer window and look more like a team.

Point proven.

Hi there I agree with the user above, Joel Piroe is probably our biggest target right now, this is because he previously worked under our new manager, and I think it's very realistic. Aarons would be an ideal livramento replacement, and both Matt Grimes and Flynn Downes have both strongly been linked with us as midfield options. Sales: Walker-peters, Bella-kotchap, Onuachu, and possibly sulemana leaving on loan too. Adams and adam armstrong have also been linked with moves away from the club too but these are less strong. https://sofifa.com/shortlist/216076 transfer rumours https://sofifa.com/shortlist/228681 have left the club already Both of these shortlists were created by the user Finn M, who I'd like to give credit too, I hope this helps

Well here he is at long last. The new manager of southampton football club. I wish Russell every bit of success. Welcome sir https://twitter.com/SouthamptonFC/status/1671571343005843467
avatar
The option is only active from 2024, not this summer
avatar
100% agree with you but yeah it could go either way, I just hope that whatever figure Rasmus has in mind he sticks with it, plus I feel that Tella would still pull up his socks and work hard for us even if the move didn't eventuate
avatar
I’m just going off links, as well as players I think are good fits, considering a potential manager. I actually thought Manning was pretty punchy, as he was the best LB in the Champ last season, you’d imagine PL and clubs from abroad would take a punt on a free. I don’t agree with Firpo, he very poor defensively, wouldn’t look much better in the Championship imo Klaesson hasn’t shown anyone why he should be trusted, he’s played 2 games in 2 years, Trafford is a top keeper who was quality in L1. Leeds are not in a situation where they can blindly trust their 3rd choice keeper from last season to perform for a whole year. A lot is at stake
avatar
Doubt we’ll sign that many Swansea players tbh
avatar
Aribo said to multiple fans he's 100% staying but I'll take it with a grain of salt

As a general guideline, be smart and clever. This is no State-owned super rich club, so no cash splashing on a randow youngster. I'd start with who you need to get rid of so you can cash in and re invest. Sell Batista Mendy and Doumbia, never worked for the club. Get rid of the the loanees as well so you increase your salary budget. Now, find solid and reliable players for your midfield to go with Bentaleb and Abdelli. That Marchetti lad from Ajaccio is probably what you need. If you can, try to bring Elyes Skhiri. I'd try Youssef Belaïli as well, creative and good on the ball. Maybe Autret. In defense, I'd go for Pallois who needs a new challenge. Lots of experience and leadership. Bring in Lucas Perrin, former youngster from OM, lad has a bright future. Then, a reliable striker because Hunou is not enough. Terrier fvcked up his ACL, so you could pretend that Rennes doesn't want him anymore and he needs a club to bounce back. Finally, as a romantic myself, try to gather back former lads I mentioned previously. Mangani for instance, even Santamaria. Do not hesitate to give game time to Capelle as well, man is still good. Hope that helps buddy

I think dropping to the championship could be the best. You know, taking a step back to be able to make two steps foward

hes out for the season

Kvaratskhelia costed €10M and gave Napoli their first Scudetto in 33 years. Stop being biased.
avatar
Most likely going to you guys. Our ownership is a trainwreck, so it'll be interesting to see how he can do with proper backing.
avatar
Thanks, I did not know there was a tactical change
avatar
Yeah, the «rivalry» is just based on location. And I even feel its pretty forced, we even have Stephens on loan from them we dont even need any rivals, just a small, likeable south coast club
avatar
Excited for the summer, what do you think are going to happen? I expect a lot of outgoings Stacey, Lerma(?), Pearson, Kilkenny, Stanislas, Siriki, Marcondes and Lowe. I hope Lerma signs an extensipn, also hope we can keep Stephens and Vina. Traore was so good when he was playing, but injuries and fitness happend and I have no clue whats going to happen to him The signings is what im excited about, we defienlty need a CB/RB to play the role Smith is playing atm, Geertuida from Feyenoord seems like a great shout, our last Feyenoord signing turned out pretty great, and our last dutch defender turned out even better. Not too realistic, but Livramento would fit that role pretty good imo. A center mid would be very much need if Lerma leaves, I would love Lavia, but thats defiently too unrealistic. Attacking wise im very happy, even without Traore, but he would certainly be a plus
avatar
Doubt it, as the any of the teams who will avoid relegation and be promoted all need wingers, except for Forest. Christie was a different story, he had 6 months left and was offered a monster wage and signing on fee
avatar
Lots of possession and passing. Risky passes back to the keeper too. If you get him good luck. I don't know how I feel about him. We've had so many ups and downs with him. Defending under him has been rather poor and since we appointed him I think we conceded at least 12 extra time goals and blown numerous 3 goal leads. He's a solid manager, but I don't think he'll get you back up.
avatar
I quite like the idea of Ronnie Edwards coming to the saints, Young CB who’s shown this season he can be really good. Considering Salisu and maybe DCC will leave I think he’s be a perfect replacement for one of them with however I feel that ABK and Bednarek would start over him with him mainly coming off the bench but would leave to see him playing for the saints
avatar
His ego is too big for taking a Championship job and he's apparently bad at keeping the team happy and there's rumors a large portion of Salzburg players want him out by the end of the season.
avatar
Personally out of the players that i think will stay, i think it will either be Perraud, Bednarek, Stephens or even Che. However like Finn said, could easily be someone new, if we lose Ward-Prowse then i think we need to seriously look at signing someone with leadership qualities/credentials.
avatar
Other Saints fans, who do you see the likely choice as Captain next season? Seeing as we'll be set to lose ward-prowse and walker-peters, I've seen a few people online asking for Perraud, Stephens (if he's still here), and even livramento and smallbone considered by fans.
avatar
I always thought he played well when he got the chance too. Apparently Jaissle didn't like him and with Solet and Pavlovic being inform there was no chance for him to move into the first XI. I'd love him to pair up with Pavlovic next season, as Solet will most likely leave, but it seems like he wants to leave. I think he'll at least stay for the pre season, as we'll most likely get a new coach
avatar
This guy is a joy to watch. Small and very explosive, extremely agile and he dribbles so well. He also has a good and powerful shot. The Swiss Maradona.

One of those clubs that has the potential to be really large. Second largest city in south of England has no major competition in terms of size (in England that is) for dozens of Miles in all directions. Only Bristol Rovers and to my knowledge they have a smaller Fanbase and look much closer to League Two than Promotion. Yet City hover anywhere between mid table and lower half and haven't been in the top flight since the mid 80's. It seems strange to me. Their owner is also a Billionaire. I think I've I've asked this Question before and the answer I got was something like Owner did invest money and then stopped investing after a while other than stadium investment (or something like that). Also in Bristol There are several professional Sports Teams in other sports; I don't know if or how badly that effects City. They are Bristol Flyers (Basketball) quite small though. Bristol Bears (Rugby Union) and Gloucester Cricket; their grounds in Bristol for some reason. If any Bristol City fan can answer this; thanks in advance?
avatar
Great, thanks for the detailed response. I’ve liked Salisu a lot especially after seeing him in that City game, and Kotchap was amazing Vs Manchester United and most of the time I watch him, so I will hope that they progress and iron out some of the downspouts in their game.
avatar
Thank you bro! Now I know a bit more about what kind of player he is if he joins Juve in the summer.
avatar
What type of defender is he and what are his main strengths would you say? He might have changed a bit since his Southampton days but I’d be interested to know what type of player we are dealing with.

Even if he doesn't stay with Arsenal beyond this season, I really hope he continues on this path. It finally looks like something's clicked with him, because the raw talent was always there. He had all the basics of an elite winger in his youth. Not that long ago it looked like his speed and especially his explosiveness had dissappeared. But it's back now. Add to that much better decision making and a far better understanding of which spaces to attack... he looks good now. I still really hope he stays and signs a new deal. Imo he deserves the chance at a more prominant role in the squad, and hopefully we'll see more of him the rest of the season. Not only that, but he's a winger type we don't really have apart from Saka. That sort of complete winger type. Martinelli, as good as he is, is a bit more one-dimensional when he's hugging the touchline; he'll almost always try to beat his opponent for speed and go on the outside. And neither Trossard nor ESR are especially good in 1v1s out wide (excellent in tight tho). Nelson has that speed again to go on the outside (and a brilliant left foot to boot), but also technical excellence which gives him ability on the inside. Idk, the qualities he has, the roles he's able to play, the fact he's effective on both wings... I just think it makes sense for us. He ticks almost every box of what we're missing on the wings. Again tho, regardless of what happens, I'm really looking forward to seeing how his career pans out. Any club that snags him will be lucky to do so imo, and I'll be cheering for him wherever he goes.

anyway there is not relation ship to be relegated and playing c1 or c3.

Don't worry about the update. It's bugged. EA somehow accidently set the player ratings to their standard before the last update. It will be fixed soon

None of those players look like prime R9 in Scotland, they’d look like prime R9 against dross like Sheffield United though

You absolutely do not. You are mentally ill. Full of hate for absolutely no reason. Won’t hear any of us mention your irrelevant little club. I pity you. Wee raging boy

Will I get my money back for this disgusting game? Why is he bald? Now wait for the next update so they add a face? We understand that in the next update there will be the same bald players. They don't do anything, you could bring him back to the normal face he had before. I've been waiting for the update for so long, but my patience is running out.

Ruben selles I could almost kiss you, That was incredible, the commitment and heart was a wonderful sight to behold. I wonder what the board will think now, seeing that Selles said if possible he would take position as permanent manager

https://sofifa.com/squad/1414863 My Bastia squad end of third season. First year in ligue 1 after two years of ligue 2. Finished second to promote. This year after a remarkable end of the season, finished 7th. Didn't get a win for 12 games in a row, until I changed the tactics to a high pressing counter attacking system. Santelli finished second in the league in scoring, just 5 goals behind Neymar who got 35 goals. Change is necessary now as a handful of players are retiring or starting to decline. I have some potential world class prospects coming up, but they all demand wages I can't offer them. Got Nikolaos Michelis (CB, 68) on a free. My goals for the 4th season are... ligue 1: finshing mit table, maybe getting near that conference league spot again conference league: getting out of the group stage coupe de france: quarter finals ...signing a new RB/RWB, CB, DM, AM/winger, a more experienced GK as Racioppi had some shaky games recently ...trying to extend the loan deal for Guessand and holding on to Tramoni ...selling some of our promising players with high profit (Dupuis, Jean, Petit) ...finding a new captain to our side as Santelli is heavily declining and won't be able to start every game anymore ...trying to get Djiku back, if Petit is sold for more than 40m my scouting list: Maxime Dupé Paul Bernardoni Modibo Sagnan Lilian Brassier Lorenz Assignon Junior Sambia Abdoulaye Kamara Elisha Owusu Ramiz Zerrouki Stephane Diarra Romario Baro (free agent)

Uptaded list of Corsican players for FIFA 23: https://sofifa.com/squad/1147799?col=ae&sort=asc We lost a lot of players especially Campanini who was useful for career mode but at least Mattéo Tramoni is back in the game and Maggiotti can be used too
avatar
That lasted long 🤣 just doesn’t seem fit to manage other clubs, Luton’s perfect for him. Should just try and get them to the prem if he ever gets the chance and not leave lol
avatar
It took them a long time to get back into the league because they had no investment which lead them to going into administration and points deductions. Realistically its because they're not a huge club with massive owners who can invest 100's millions every year to rebuild, instead they have to use what money they can to invest in youth and players that aren't household names and start again. Lambert came from league one with us and gave the club everything and got the opportunity to go to his hometown club in a once in a life time move and was replaced by Pelle. Lallana again came from lower leagues with us but once he got international football felt he was too big for the club and they replaced him with tadic who did great. Shaw left because what 18 year old is going to turn down a move to a top 6 club who can more than triple their wages and give them european football. Yes they've not invested the money from Virgil and co too well but at the same they couldn't really stop the players from leaving and needed the money to stay alive and have done so. Ings had 1 year left on his contract and forced a move, would you rather get 20 mil for a good player but one who also spends half the season injured or lose him for free and not be able to invest anything? This is the first season where they've had owners willing to invest anything in the squad that doesn't come from selling player so I get your point but feel like you're grasping at straws alot with this comment tbh.
avatar
Virgil left over 5 years ago and mane left 2 years before that, with a completely different ownership in charge, granted the money they got for those players wasn't used to sign players of the same ilk but its one hell of a stretch to say they deserve relegation for selling players who actively pushed to leave the club in 2016 & 2018 ...
avatar
Bednarek is the most clumsy CB I have seen in this league since Richard Dunne & Titus Bramble..
avatar
I can try It's difficult to justify what happened out there today. Some of the players out there just looked like they didn't care and now Jones has practically had a mental breakdown in his interview. Tactically inept doesn't begin to describe the first half. The midfield was extremely poor, as if the players couldn't make the right decisions and even string two passes together. Diallo was one of the biggest culprits as he gave the ball away multiple times. The lack of physicality was also there for everybody to see. Brentford should've been 2-0 up in the first 20 minutes. Chemistry was just not right with the right side of defence linking up to midfield, bednarek couldn't catch a cold, and Bree defined mediocrity and was almost invisible. Bazunu flapped at everything per usual other than making a few claims. Overall the defending for their first two goals was very questionable. Ward-prowse also blew a great chance after he misshit his pass to edozie Second half was slightly better. Onuachu showed good awareness and sulemana was lively, and yet the team still lacked end product. Even at 60 minutes the game was long gone. Unfortunately it felt like we were never going to get a goal, going forward we were a scruffy mess again especially in the final third. Elyounoussi just disappeared, and had no end product whatsoever, and Adam Armstrong blew a great chance once again by firing straight at Raya. Its hard not to slag off the players when it's the same players screwing up every time they play. It would've been 5 or 6 if not for salisu and Brentford blowing some clear cut chances even in that second half Positives: perraud, salisu, debutants were okay. Negatives: everything else, but especially Nathan Jones. He sounds like a defeated man, can't set up his team properly and clearly wants to play a back 5 which everyone disagrees with. His decisions over putting Caleta-car, abk and Orsic in the B-team yesterday was mind-blowing in my opinion. We are in a relegation battle and he is fanying around
avatar
https://sofifa.com/squad/1414609 well here it is, started properly working on the unofficial FIFA 23 Southampton B team recently, and although I'm not done yet, it's taken absolutely ages to get the right weights, heights, pictures, stats, and many other smaller properties. There's a lot more to be done however and I'm far from finished with this squad. Note all of these ratings are subjective to my opinion and I tried to make it fair without going overkill. Out on loan, Payne, bycroft, Edmondson, Harness, Pearce, simeu, Lawrence, small, olaigbe, tizzard, vokins, chauke, watts, finnigan. Those removed permanently, Jimmy jay Morgan who had 84 potential, and jeremi Rodriguez. Long term injuries include Goran babic, Sam bailey and diamond Edwards. I hope to update this more often, so if you are interested in the u21s, then feel free to take a look, thank you

En Racing varias veces jugó para armar desde atrás, un caso es el de el partido contra Godoy Cruz, Mauri Martínez jugó más adelantado y el atrás

excellent point regarding the last part. For me, seeing our team lose all our players to loan is difficult to take in because of how they are challenging for the pl2 title at the moment and now this gives leeds an upper hand. Younger u18's and even u16's will have to chip in a lot more often and its unknown they are ready for the leap of the B-team. However, Doyle, Ballard, Dibling, payne and of course the departed Morgan and many others have proven even at a very young age, they can play to the standard of pl2. I'm hopeful these young lads can step up, but at the same time concerned.
avatar
Thanks for the reply I can see your points. Obviously I don't know all the ins and outs just tried to see things as a neutral view. Good luck rest of the season 👍

Haven't posted for a while but wanted to say i'm so happy with our deadline day signings, especially Onuachu, he looks to be the target man that we've been crying out for since Pelle! With 16 goals in 19 league games for Genk this year hopefully he can hit the ground running.
