Kudus can play any of our 5 attacking roles. We would benefit with him playing as an inside forward with Kai dropping deep/Jesus switching wide (who both miss a ton) in possession.

Just finished watching. My eyes are bleeding. The only silver lining I can take from the game is that we’ve come a long way where everyone can play that badly and we still don’t get beat away to the Europa league champions. But yeah that’s a big stretch, we were truly shocking. I hate to say this but there is just no way Man City would ever drop a performance that bad. They just don’t do it and ultimately they are who are aspiring to beat. I know it’s tough without our chief creator but I refuse to believe we couldn’t do 1000x better than that shit. The quality in the final 3rd was absolutely dreadful again in a big away game. Getting sick of it tbh, feels like every time we go away against a good side, both in Europe and the league we lose all composure and quality in front of goal. We couldn’t even get the ball into the final 3rd in that game let alone create a fucking chance. Nobody wants to shoot, nobody wants to be the man to step up and take the game on. Horrible to a man today outside of our GK and two centre backs. Defensively in these big games we are incredible though which is important to mention. We’re going to have to lean into this defensive, counter attack style of football against City because that’s our best hope, but beyond the City game Arteta is going to have to figure out a system that works and means we can create chances from open play. We did it well at times against Spurs, I think we could’ve scored from open play in that game but tonight was a a circus from an attacking standpoint. We move, a point from this game isn’t a bad result, the manner of the performance is what has frustrated me but it is what it is. Raya really is him btw. One of the best saves I’ve ever seen in my life, he’s already got a huge lead in my player of the season votes for 24/25.
avatar
If Arteta envisioned Rice as an 8, he could've bought Gallagher for cheaper
avatar
that’s inflammatory, he’s been fine as good as anyone else
avatar
He’s still on the pitch you retard.
avatar
Atalanta: Raya/White/Saliba/Gabi/Kiwior/Jorginho/Rice/Nwaneri/Sterling/Jesus/Trossard City: Same as yesterday just replace Jorginho for Rice.

Ok, slow down buddy

Gonna use this post as a therapy session for myself, will probs be long. I’m scared boys. I’m scared for this week and what the potential ramifications could be if it doesn’t go our way. I’ve been feeling real low about Arsenal these past couple weeks. What annoys me most is that it’s not based on what I’ve seen from us on the pitch, which has been mostly good, I’m just devastated with how bad our luck has been going into such a critical week of the season. Been feeling pretty sorry for myself icl, being robbed of 2 points against Brighton and our 2 best players from last season against our biggest rivals hurts man. UEFA putting us on a Thursday at Atalanta hasn’t helped my mood either. I’m so desperate for this to be our season and seeing City keep winning and us getting shafted is killing me. However, I have to and we collectively have to pull ourselves together now. Injuries and shit referees are a part football and we have to deal with it. The growth we’ve shown in recent seasons is tremendous, we have to act like a big club now and fight back. The Spurs game is crucial, if we win it it will be a huge lift to spur us on (no pun intended) into the Atalanta and city games, but if we lose… yikes. I fear for us at the Etihad. This is the pressure that comes with supporting a team challenging for titles I guess. I’m shook but I’m also excited, there is an opportunity for us to make some massive statements this week, the confidence that a good week would give us given our circumstances currently would be off the charts. The emotions this club makes me feel is beautiful man. We’re all feeling vulnerable today boys and probably will feel it for the whole week, but that vulnerability makes the good moments feel even better. Come on Arsenal, please let’s make this is a magical and galvanising week where we fight against adversity, starting it with smashing those inherent losers from N17❤️🤍
avatar
Shouldn’t have to explain this but since a few have already misinterpreted… my earlier post is obviously dramatic, that’s the point, I’ve been very busy the last couple weeks and I was using this space to vent Arsenal related emotions that as a fan I naturally have. Believe it or not when I say seeing Man City win and us have bad luck with injuries and referees is “killing me” I don’t actually mean it’s killing me. And when I say I’m feeling sorry for myself it’s as an Arsenal fan who feels hard done by, it doesn’t extend to other facets of life, which again I thought was obvious. Thought I’d been on the page long enough now that people understood my style of commenting but oh well. I don’t need anyone’s validation, I got some stuff off my chest and am now even more excited for tonight’s game. 10:30 pm my time, it’s gonna be fun🤩

Random question do you guys think Ait-Nouri of Wolves could do a Bale
avatar
we have to raise the level of our attack at some point competing with only Saka as a pillar makes things far too complicated

Haaland is a real life cheat code

https://s3a.sofifa.net/d28de4ab39c46629ea4337410588ae650775e7ae.jpg Warra midfield depth...5 players for 3 positions and a kid that has 13 minutes of first team football. We are going into the spurs game with 3 fit and available midfielders and 1 fit striker. Unbelievable.

In a world where we are making one big offensive signing and one supplementary offensive signing next summer (attacking includes CAM/ attacking mid) which option would you all prefer: Option 1: Around 100m+ for Isak, Kvara, Leao, etc. 50m or less for a CAM/ supplementary attacking option Option 2: Around 80m-100m for Musiala A project ST signing like Sesko/Ferguson for 50m-70m I think either option could be explored based on the state of the club. Something about Musiala that I absolutely love though as a game breaking attacker, compared to, say, an Isak..

This will be my last comment on this website. I've just got diagnosed with stage 4 prostate cancer. Have only been here 2 years but it was a fun to engage, debate, argue and all that nonsense haha. I'm going to miss the interactions... but nonetheless, stay safe, live well and make sure y'all get your regular check ups. Nothing more to say, see y'all on the other side. GGMU.

I still can’t believe some people here wanted us to sign Rashford. He’s woeful
avatar
Ref completely ruined the game. There’s no way that’s a yellow. The ball was still rolling when it was played. He gets kicked in the shin and somehow he’s the one getting the card… It’s a shame because we were looking good in the first half. Tough result, but we go again.
avatar
If that Rice red doesn't get rescinded we should storm the PGMOL.
avatar
I’ll be on Brighton hate watch duty more often now
avatar
Your club gets away with things due to political pressure
avatar
Gyokeres isn't good enough but Sesko is? Lol. Gyokeres is WAY better
avatar
If martinelli lost teh ball twice like trossard did we wouldn’t hear the end of it.
avatar
Yeah it was a big summer for youth player transfers yet i barely even saw our name mentioned as interested, its always Liverpool, Chelsea, City, United, and Villa

We finished behind City by 2 points last season. To close the gap we signed yet another LB, a backup GK that can't even play in one of the domestic cups and a midfielder that got injured immediately (Not anyone's fault just unlucky). It was clear at the start of the season we needed attacking depth, be it on the wings or up front. Preferably both. To remedy this we sold ESR, Nketiah (Possibly) and loaned out Vieira and signed nobody, now we're praying for a deadline day deal for Sterling which is obviously a last minute panic move. We have 1 striker available atm (Assuming Nketiah leaves) because Jesus is injured again. We have absolutely 0 midfield depth behind Odegaard. Nelson who we know isn't good enough is our Saka backup. Not be a huge downer but atm if one of Havertz, Saka or Odegaard gets injured the season is done. We have absolutely 0 depth in those positions. Selling all of our attacking depth and evidently not planning to sign anyone in replacement shows a huge lack of planning on Edu's part.
avatar
We arnt signing anyone after Neto, confirmed by Oinstein. 4/10 window at best imo.
avatar
One of the worst transfer window of the new era. Strategically managed to weaken the squad. One injury away from all to falling apart. Kroenke indeed gave 0 budget for the window. They left the club on its own.
avatar
Mate what the fuck are we actually doing our squad is so thin now it's a joke. Yes we have done well selling our assets this window but what was the point if we don't spend it to plug our obvious gaps that we still have? This was meant to be the window where we make the big push to win the league but we have unfortunately dropped a disappointing window so far... It's really a joke so far let's hope that changes but we can only hope for something
avatar
Its the last day and we’re scrambling over Raheem bloody Sterling 🫣 Supposed to be in “phase 5” now. Outgoings have been good, but I’m shocked with how slow we’ve been this window.
avatar
Roma getting Manu Kone.. Zart in the dirt again
avatar
Man Chiesa for 10m to Liverpool is a bargain. I said a while back we should go for him. Plenty of upside and if it doesn't work out its such a low fee it's well worth a gamble. We still look light for an attacker and a cm given the amount of games and new CL format.
avatar
https://x.com/EduardoHagn/status/1829100226365260036 10/10 talent. We should be doing 2 of these a window and loaning them out.
avatar
Agreed, I said 2. Nypan should 100% be one of them.
avatar
surely 20 million is excessive for a backup keeper don’t get me wrong he’s a perfect Raya understudy, but the price …
avatar
I admire your optimism but contextually I don’t think this is more than a 5/10
avatar
I hope I jinx it and this ages like milk.. but if we don't hear anything by tonight then we aren't signing a forward. The 'Ornabomba" most people are waiting for will be for a freaking backup GK, I'm telling ya.

Can’t believe the footballing world let Estevao go to that finished institution
avatar
Raya is unquestionably MOTM
avatar
This page is so reactionary my word. These dynamics suck because we don’t have a natural LCM right now and are forced to play a 6 that can’t rotate to save his life. Martinelli is not playing well- no one is- but there is a solution coming for €33m.
avatar
Dislike that narrative so much, Saliba made the same amount of mistakes as him last season.
avatar
Good loan for Vieira, but there’s no excuse for no attacker now. Love that we’re trusting Nwaneri but we need more to compete with City. Hoping for good news soon, dominos are falling 🤞🏼
avatar
Give me Wharton
avatar
Glad Merino is done, not sure why some are saying good price, clearly overpaid given his contract, age and market factors but we have needed a midfielder for ages so glad we got someone in.
avatar
Merino is gonna be an Arsenal player. We'd probably see the 10 second announcement video in 5-7 days time tho.
avatar
Probably Arteta showing powerpoint presentation with Merino sitting amongst our other players.
avatar
The thing is, Arsenal should be able to adapt. The Dokus, the Savinhos that City find, often for reasonable price and "out of nowhere" are something Arsenal absolutely should start doing. It's both looking at the future and the present. It could be Pep doing Pep things but I don't even see us trying much. Obv we operate on a different budget as well but we've had tons of opportunities this summer to up our budget IF it's limited.
avatar
Incoming comments that you gotta relax even tho we got 8 days left and we haven't even completed Merino's deal or sold any of the players who should have left already. Jokes aside, Gundo to Man City just makes me laugh like it's so unnecessary for them but they'll do it bc they're City, to guarantee things.
avatar
We need to sign a forward. Hopefully now that Eddie seems to be on his way out we will act swiftly.
avatar
Honestly it's true... we NEED another attacker if we are winning anything this year we need depth
avatar
That’s cool. I’ve just seen you comment a lot about how this saga is never ending and felt like it affected you quite a bit. For me previous transfer windows had been annoying waiting for the confirmation of signings but I realised the best think you can do is to keep it in the background and not dwell too much on it.
avatar
I'm hearing 25 mil euros... for this guy to be backup. While we might not get all that much more from Ramsdale, if he even leaves. It's not ideal is it...
avatar
Steady, sounds like negativity. Your not allowed to comment stuff like that here or the real fans will start making posts about it lol
