I'm not a Rennes fan so I can only speak to what I observed when watching them. When Majer first joined them, they seemed to play a 4-3-3 formation that worked quite well and he was really great for them; I remember a lot of standout performances. After they seemed to switch to a 4-4-2 with two 6s and he kind of seemed to fall out of favor. I guess Génésio believed he wasn't tactically flexible enough to play. Plus other midfielders have stepped up like Doue and Tait who he seems to prefer more. I think it's clear he's more than good enough for Rennes but towards the end it wasn't a great fit so they have sold him on. With Le Fee, Blas, and Doue, he's already replaced so Rennes wouldn't be too mad about the 18 profit they'll get on him.

Teuma could sign for Rennes this summer. Even though I don't want to see him leave, I'd be happy for him to go to this magnificent club, which is very well run and has a great environment. You’ll have an exceptional player who has been playing at an excellent level for 3 years. A tireless machine who is in his prime, who can score as well as get his team-mates to score.
