Squad, 2nd year, after winning 3. Liga, in the opening Bundesliga 2 game away against VfL Bochum.
I'm trying to play a Bielsa style high press and I have somehow managed it. This formation, with 3 centre backs, inverted wing backs (I have them set as wide midfielders with tactical settings to always help in defence and cut inside on the attack), a CM, a CAM, 2 wingers, and a lone striker, is a classic Bielsa formation, designed to cause overloads and have late runs into the box. Defensive pressure is in the 90s to try and create a gegenpress. The use of ball playing defenders such as Trauner and Campos, with CMs Toko and Furman converted into wing backs, is common for teams with this style. I also use Figuera as a wing back or centre back, and Furman sometimes as a centre back. Having centre backs who are comfortable on the ball is essential for this formation, and defensively sound midfielders are useful for this role when quality natural centre backs are lacking
Asoro, Gonzalez, Furman, Bergmann, Razeek, and Enobakhare were in the 3.Liga winning side. Others are Bosmans except Trauner who signed for €1.1million. Out of the subs, Figuera and Olomola were starters in 3. Liga, Engl was my backup GK, 2 are youth players called Matthias Hase (Germany) and Nazar Kopul (Russia), others are Bosmans
UPDATE: Signed Derik for €1million
Best players atm: Gonzalez (75), Razeek (72), Bergmann (71), and Enobakhare (70). Furman is lowest starter at 66. All other starter are 68 or 69. Bench are between 65 and 67 except for Engl (62) and Hase (59)
