My favourite players over my FIFA 14, 15 and 17. They are there for either general quality, appeal and specific moments
GKs -
Roman Burki - Leicester - FIFA 14 - After a number of years with Kasper Schmeichel, In our first year in the Premier League he was replaced with a young keeper from FC Zurich and he quickly became the most consistent goal keeper and a long term shot stopper in Leicester's transformation from Championship promotion contenders to contenders for the top 6.
Wojciech Szczesny - Arsenal / Monaco - FIFA 14 - A player who stayed throughout the series, the Polish shot stopper was a fine reliable keeper who kept more expensive high profile recruits (*ahem* Onur Kivrak) out of the side with his great displays. Most well known for his wonderful displays against a resurgent Porto in the Champions League and Aston Villa in a vital game for the top 4 in the first season.
RBs -
Lars Vilsvik - Leicester / QPR - FIFA 14 - As a player who was a cheap signing or even a free one on a pre-contract, Vilsvik was one of the finest players I have ever had the pleasure of using. Fast, great with both feet, excellent technical ability and concentration as well as a fine finish made him an instant favourite of mine, particularly at Leicester where he played at right back, as a right midfielder, as a left back, as a centre back and as a centre midfielder along with being club captain.
Danilo - Arsenal - FIFA 14 - One of the breakthrough signings in the second season, replacing Mathieu Debuchy, Danilo immediately brought technical skill, a powerful shot and excellent crossing to the right back role, creating huge amounts of goals whilst being able to defend. Another wonderful world class defender.

Phil Jones - Napoli - FIFA 14 - One of my strangest signings in the short-lived but awesome Napoli career, Jones was a fine right back, rarely over stepping the mark forward whilst providing consistent displays at the right back spot.
CBs -

Sergio Ramos - Real Madrid - FIFA 14 - In the hyper indulgent and frankly ludicrous Real career, Ramos was one the few who wasn't displaced. Starting until he retired, Ramos scored goals aplenty and won many trophies in the Galacticos of Real Madrid. Amongst Aguero, Muller, Balotelli and others, there was a stable rock of strength, speed and leadership.
Thiago Silva - Bristol City - FIFA 15 - In what has to be weirdest signing I have ever made, a veteran Thiago Silva made the move the City Ground and quickly shone with his defensive ability ably protecting a weakened and inconsistent young defence.
Dan Burn - Wigan Athletic - FIFA 17  - The captain of the play-off winning side of 2017, Burn was dependable at all times. Despite his lack of pace, something which cost him his place facing Jonathan Kodjia at Wembley, Burn was great in the air and imperious in his positioning, helping Wigan to be one of the finest defensive teams in the Championship.
Marc-Oliver Kempf - Wigan Athletic - FIFA 17 - The partner to Burn was no weak link either. With more athleticism and solid all-round stats, Kempf was a similarly imperious centre half who was sorely missed in spells of injury.
LBs -

Kieran Gibbs - Arsenal - FIFA 14 - Another constant in the all-conquering Arsenal side, Gibbs was another fantastic player. Fast, technical and consistent, Gibbs lived up to Ashley Cole, almost as much as to join Chelsea but resisted their overtures and scored a 90th minute solo goal to help us to a 3rd straight title in our 4th season.
Joe Bryan - Bristol City - FIFA 15 - Club captain, one-time wonderkid and one club man Joe Bryan is another hero. His pace, crossing ability and reliability quickly turned him from a fresh face into THE face of Bristol's Premier League side, the reliable cog behind the wonderful front three.
CDMs -
William Carvalho - Real Madrid - FIFA 14 - One of my first signings at Real Madrid, Carvalho was an utter rock in a midfield to ensure the freedom of Modric and others. He provided in a Casemiro like way and did also score some wondergoals along the way.
Korey Smith - Bristol City - FIFA 15 - The first CDM in the Bristol side to truly make his mark, the former Norwich man was aggressive and athletic and was vital in breaking up play to ensure the attackers could flourish.
CMs -

Paul Pogba - Arsenal - FIFA 14 - Perhaps the most spectacular yet reliable player out of this squad, Pogba brought genuinely world class passing ability, long range ability, tackling and heading from the CDM position in the Arsenal side. He seemed to often be able to do the simple so well before scoring an incredible goal or playing a perfect pass to set off a counter attack from a ball he had won back. Truly remarkable.

Markus Henriksen - QPR - FIFA 14 - In a free spending QPR side, Henriksen was perhaps the cream of the crop. Fast and technical sides to his game were evident but the finest string to his bow was his immense finishing ability from out or inside the box, making him a formidable opponent for any defence or midfield.

Matias Laba - Leicester - FIFA 14 - The Leicester save was perhaps my save for weird signings from weird places. In between Victor Obinna, Darren Mattocks, Roman Burki, Lars Vilsvik and Daniel Amartey, there was Matias Laba. As a fast ball carrier with an excellent engine, Laba became one of the key cogs of the Leicester machine.

Alex Gilbey - Wigan Athletic - FIFA 17 - As a team that throughout a eventually successful season was continually struggling to build momentum, the midfield became a place rife with experimentation. After trying a number of midfielders, I decided to give Gilbey a chance. I immediately wasn't disappointed. Fast and hard working, Gilbey became a key man in winning the ball high up the pitch and after scoring a last minute goal against Newcastle that kept up the momentum that led to our promotion, was a hero of sorts in the Championship.
RWs -

Carlos Fierro - Bristol City - FIFA 15 - The first piece of Bristol's holy trinity, Fierro arrived in January of the first season as a replacement for the highly important Kieran Agard and immediately became a very key player and a huge threat to opposition defences, but perhaps not a player with a fine end product in his first 6 months at the City Ground. Upon going up to the Championship, he suddenly became excellent, scoring vast numbers of goals and getting assists aplenty and continued this excellence throughout the Premier League as well.

Michael Jacobs - Wigan Athletic / Wolves - FIFA 14 / 17 - A somewhat ok player in a short-lived Wolves career mode, Jacobs was seen as a good player for the Championship in the Wigan side but in 34 league games got only 3 assists and was displaced halfway through the year by an inexperienced 17 year old. After regaining his place in the side, Jacobs became the hero in the play off semi-final, scoring twice in the semi-final and then in the final got two of the 3 goals against Aston Villa to send us up.mo

Alessio Cerci - Napoli - FIFA 15 - In the Napoli career mode there were many excellent players. There was however only one star of the side and that consistently was Alessio Cerci. Signed for just under £20 million, Cerci quickly shot to the top of the goal scoring charts and was magnificent in a huge title victory for Napoli.

LWs -

Demarai Gray - Bristol City - FIFA 15 - A player consistently pursued due to his masterful performances at Birmingham City, when Gray signed he joined a side developing quickly into a fine side and immediately became key with goals and assists aplenty. His ability to score saw him regularly grab the headlines.

Dusan Tadic - Southampton - FIFA 15 - In a save that was a battle throughout, Tadic epitomised the situation at Southampton. In a first season in which he fought for the golden boot and was marvelous throughout, Tadic was the star in the South but in a second fighting on 4 fronts after getting 4th, Tadic didn't turn up. Despite this disappointment the first season for Tadic was frankly the stuff of legend with the winger able to take set plays and finish clinically.

STs -

Michael Olaitan (No longer on game, or I think even playing sadly) - Bristol City - FIFA 15 - A player who has had the worst of luck since collapsing on pitch whilst at Olympiakos, Olaitan is now a free agent without purpose. He is however remembered by me as the greatest player I have ever had on FIFA. Fast, strong, good at finishing from literally anywhere, technical and agile, Olaitan had it all. The Nigerian joined for a fee of practically nothing in the first season and in the first year saw a lot of game time, but as a back up. He lacked in finishing ability and was often on the flanks, something that seemed to help develop his game. After the sale of Jay Emmanuel Thomas, Kieran Agard and others, Olaitan now had a responsibility to lead the line, and lead it he did. Scoring vast numbers of goals and linking excellently with the other two of the Holy Trinity of Bristol, Olaitan became a club legend.

Olivier Giroud - Arsenal - FIFA 14 - Perhaps a player who seemed more consistently a frustration than a great player, Giroud seemed unable to get enough goals to lead the line effectively. After a number of players who replaced him, Giroud became a back up and his moment of legend came in a Champions League Quarter Final against Porto which in a tough game, saw an ageing Giroud score and assist to drag us through a tough tie. This was the moment that convinced me of his ability and how my loyalty in him was repaid.

Luciano Vietto - Southampton / QPR - FIFA 14 / 15 - Having been excellent on two CMs for Southampton and one for QPR, Vietto has a colossally successful record for me. Fast, powerful and clinical, Vietto has consistently been world class for me and seems to fit perfectly with my game plan.
