Using 'Relationsim' like Fluminense as a philosophy, outsmarting the opponents by creating numerical advantages and gradually advancing as a unified force. While also looking at Liverpools high line, counter pressing, counter attacking possession side. And applying inspiration from Xabi Alonso's unbeaten Bayer Lev and Amorim's Sporting Lisbon:
This is a flexible 3-4-3 that can alternate into a 4-3-3 (out of possession) with the middle CDM (playing CB) pushing up, and the full backs dropping back.
If the CDM (playing CB) drops inbetween the CBs (stays) you could even play a back 5 (5-2-3) with Trent and Robbo dropping back.
With the Wingers pressuring to cut in, I'd envision a series of overlapping play as they invert. Or Vice versa the Full backs can invert as the CMs Push forward to create an overload. Giving more options.
The CF is very key to how this team goes about breaking down the opponent. The busier the better, but it's more important that they retain possession for the team. I'd want them to ideally carve out the space to ATK with link-up or drifting runs to either winger.
He can also drop into midfield if we were to narrow the formation. Creating a Diamond with the CF acting as the '10' and Nunez & Salah inverting making it 2STs vs the oppositions 2CBs if necessary.
-----------------------------------
( For example hypothetically in the 3-4-3 If Jota heads to the right to link up with Salah (who has ball) - Nunez can attack the space in the middle. And like a chain reaction -Robbo could push up the wing, while AMA (such a quality player) gets to operate in the half space.
-Now Let's say in the hypothetical, Salah (who has ball) dosen't use Jota (who's ran to Salah), Passes back to TAA instead ... The options of attacking passes multiply, and Trent gets to play 'quarterback'. And the same can be done on the other side. Now it's not full proof but it's a system that allows the players to play to their strengths while making use of one another.
-----------------------------------
Also with all that being said, you can see the team could do with a lil more depth to truly cement this style of play. You'd want a:
-Winger/FWD that offers flexibility. ( Like a Nico Williams, Yeremy Pino, Xavi simmons, Kubo, Bakayoko, Olise, Kudus, Gonçalves, or Max Beier
-CDM that can sit in-between CBs or cover fullbacks or has the gift of intercepting or is simply good enough lol. ( Like a Alan Varela, Eric Martel, Andrich, Andre, João Gomes, Ko Itakura, Kamara, Florentino, Zubeldia, Zubimendi Douglas Luiz, Pepelu, Mandela Keita, Koopmeiners, Mats Wiefer)
-CB that is athletic, mobile, imposing, comfortable with the ball or can cover full back or is left footed lol or a high IQ player to replace Matip.
(Like a Bastoni, Diomande, Hincapié, Gonçalo Inácio, Schlotterbeck, Kossounou, Lukeba, Todibo, Simikan, Singo, Geertruida, Schuurs, Jaka Bijol, Hiroki Ito or Pacho, Murillo)
