At goal-keeper there can only be one option really - Matty Ryan
Although in defence it's a bit more tricky to pick out the back line. If Postecoglou continues with his three at the back experiment, I would imagine that Sainsbury, Wright and Milligan would back up those positions. The two only proper wing-backs are Gersbach and Behich with Brad Smith out injured. In my opinion (not that Ange is listening), I think we should go back to a more simpler 4-3-3 formation because of disappointing results against Thailand and just scrapping past Saudi Arabia unless we manage to get a result against Brazil tonight. Still not convinced though.
The two occupying the mid-field should be captain Jedinak and future captain (maybe) Mooy. I do rate Luongo but it's hard for me to see either one of those to losing their place to him. Should be used as a sub for most of the tournament. Same goes for Troisi.
The front-man should be Juric. Honestly, Cahill is getting too old to get the nod to start (I'd be glad for him to prove me wrong though) and Maclaren hasn't convinced Ange up to this point. Juric also made a good case for himself against Saudi Arabia almost getting a hat-trick.
In the positions either side of Juric should be Leckie on the left and Rogic on the right. For the left, although Irvine could play there but I think Leckie is the more traditional winger. And also, PACE. On the right I'd pick Rogic over Kruse simply because he had a better season that Kruse. Rogic played an influential role in Celtic's undefeated league campaign and doesn't deserve to be sitting on the bench.
