it's not the Saudi arabian league from my perspective, it's the money. they build a football league out of nowhere. here in Europe the leagues developed over centuries to the quality leagues they are now while the Saudis just buy the good players. there's no way a man like Xavi would join the Saudi league if they had not all of these money. and where does it come from? from the oil industry or some rich investor. money hurts the football business. just ten years ago u still needed a good concept in order to be successfull. clubs like Bremen, Hamburg and Schalke had those concepts in how to be successfull without a dozen of million euros. nowadays u just need money. best example is PSG. they were a small french club without high ambitions. then some Nasser Al-Khelaifi stepped in and suddenly they can sign players like Neymar and Mbappe while the clubs with a good balanced concept like Marseille or Lyon had no chance to win against them. it's the same like the Saudi arabian league: i don't have something against PSG but against the money they use to be successfull.
another point why i don't rate the saudi league is because Saudi Arabia is still an hardcore islamic ruled country with a dictator who doesn't care about freedom of the women, freedom of the press, freedom of the religion, freedom of the workers, freedom of the lower class, freedom of the gay people (i could continue this list much longer). as long as the saudi arabian league doesn't rate the power of equality (and that's football all about), i don't rate this league. it's that simple.

he's just 27 years old and was always one of the best players at mainz even when they had bad times. why would such a talented player in that age join the saudi arabian league?
